You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here.

Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now.

Maybe you should have a window in the first place.

This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out.

Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring.

If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building.

Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems.

But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this.

More like nonexistent. Dragons are like...you hear about that kind of thing in stories, you know?

I suppose it's less frightening when you've known about them all your life.

The more frustrating part was being stuck in one place, even before I arrived here, but I have every confidence that I will get out of both places shortly.

[There's too much riding on it for her to not believe that.]

[From her tone, it sounds as though she's not certain whether she buys into that, but she's grateful all the same.

When Judy mentions the storage closet, she gestures ahead of them.]

It's just up ahead. [She walks to it, opening it up.] If there's nothing in here, we can certainly look in the other rooms, too.

[Judy nods, and right away she's stepping inside, craning her neck to look at all the supplies.]

Hm...looks like a lot of things someone just decided to throw into storage. Cleaning supplies too, I guess. Kind of weird this would be here almost, with how empty most of these rooms are.

Some of these are meant for cleaning?

[Ah, yes, that thing servants do... Not that she would recognize any of these supplies even if she had any familiarity with housework.]

[Judy nods, pointing to a broom, and then a mop in turn.]

Sure are. Though I wonder if that means we'll be expected to clean up our prison, too...

[She'd sure hope not.

That said, Judy starts to rummage through a box nearby, immediately turning up a...lot of rope.]

Can you check those shelves up there for me? I kind of doubt I'll find paper and anything to write with in here, but we might as well see what we have anyway.

That would be rather rude of them, but I suppose there's little they've done that couldn't be described that way.

[A small sigh, but she looks towards the top of the closet obediently. Unfortunately, she recognizes very little of these things, because modernity is hard, but she does pull some out so Judy can see what the closet holds. Duct tape, a toolkit, and... candles! She knows what those are, at least, but she bends down and holds the first two items out to her.]

I'm unfamiliar with these, and I'm afraid I didn't see any paper up there.

[Judy looks over when Adelina hands her the objects, and she reaches out to take both in her paws. The latter takes a little hefting to keep aloft, and she weighs it a little before replying.]

This is duct tape, it's useful for keeping things held together. And this tool kit...probably has some tools in it, like pliers or screwdrivers.

[She realizes a bit too late that she might not understand that either, but it doesn't matter too much. Judy sets them aside for now.]

Nothing over here, either. I doubt this is going to have what I want, but there are a lot of useful things in here.

To hold things together? How interesting.

[She makes a note to ask about pliers or screwdrivers later, but it can wait. More important things at hand.]

I can't imagine there's not one room with paper or pencil... Would you like to look in some of the others?

I'd like that, thank you. I'll come back to the storage room another time, probably...I'm sure there will be things in here we'll need at some point.

[Or, you know. Someone might use them for murder.]
