WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open.

While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

APPRENTICES REMAINING: 30

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

[She disagrees, but more for personal reasons than anything else. His exclamation is more important than that, and she turns her head to look towards him, curious already.]

What is it?
foundfate: (important question)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-25 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
[He points to the area just north of room 1, that looks like it should be the beginning of a hallway, but eventually just ends.]

It looks like there should be a hallway here.
bloodbiter: (then they danced and they danced)

...How strange.

[She walks forward, placing a hand on the wall.]

Do you think there's some sort of hidden exit?
foundfate: (...eh?)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-26 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe.

[He's feeling along the wall too.]

...I don't see any sign of a door though, hidden or not. Maybe it's a magic door?
bloodbiter: (one small step for buzz)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-01-26 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
It could be. If only we had a sorcerer here...

[Having someone capable of casting spells, she thinks, would be extremely useful.]
foundfate: (thinking)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-28 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, it might not be worth the cost of a spell like that.

[His mind is stuck thinking of the 'cost' of magic. Yuuko has truly ruined him for anything supernatural ever.]
bloodbiter: (that's disgusting. fucking memes!)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-01-28 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
[When she glances at him next, she tilts her head slightly.]

The cost? What do you mean?
foundfate: (take my hand)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-28 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, like...You know how every action you do has a result of some kind? If you cook a meal, you have food to eat, but the raw ingredients are gone forever. If you punch someone in the face, you might get punched back. Stuff like that.

Magic is like that too, right? That's what I mean by 'cost'. Just trying to do something might make something else happen without us intending for it to.
