WEEK 1.
Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open. While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

She can't help but snort at that.]
My demon blood and I will take that as a compliment.

[ SHRUG.
... But then, even the people who are her type aren't smelling good here... ]
no subject
[It's not easy to see how she could get confused there right.]

[ She waves a hand dismissively, smiling ]

There should be, but no one smells like it for some reason.
no subject
Could it just be coincidence? Or are you sure some of them are and there's something more to it?
no subject
[ She sighs, and admits: ]
My blood affinity relates to that.

no subject
It's not quite that, but sort of? More drained ...? Emotionally tired? That sort of feeling that middle aged humans tend to have.
no subject
Well I bet she won't have to wait long--]How...interesting. Less and less are vampires like the stories I've heard. Perhaps the ones here are simply...resilient? Could that be a common thread?
no subject
[ If anything, the fact no one is setting her off at all is annoying her. ]
But yeah, all vampires have a blood affinity. That's what really makes things good for us, and what we really take from humans.
[ Maybe he's tired, to feel the need to explain this. Maybe she just wants someone else to understand. She's not sure herself ]
no subject
That truly is strange. That you don't feel any of it, not how it works. Though, I must ask...what you really take? It's not just blood, but something to do with the emotions?
no subject
[ And she puts her finger on the table again, spinning them in place ]
Let's take my son for example, his is a little easier to explain. He's attracted to human pride, and so self-righteous, uppity, haughty people make his fangs come out. And when he feels on them, until they recover from the bite, they'll be drained of that same pride that he just fulfilled himself with.
no subject
If you communicated that, and it was done safely, you might have more volunteers, you know.
no subject
That's not without risk, you know. People who lack that feeling are more reckless, they're less wary, and while some people might excitedly go back their spouses, others will finally get over the hurtle to cheat on them.
[ But what does she care? she doesn't, really. It's just... communicating that is hard, and she doesn't want to try - to risk that. ]
no subject
That could cause problems...so all parties would know in advance all side-effects, and the one being drained would be monitored, heavily, until the effects wore off. ...At least, that's what I would want, were it to be me, to make sure nothing goes wrong.
no subject
Vampires aren't therapists, you know.
[ But at the same time, she knows that Hanyuu's right. She bites her lip, trying to hold back her annoyance at this complication. ]

Well it an't, sister.
