WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open.

While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

Is that why your title is 'Average'?
avoidcomplications: (built-in remedy for kruschev and kennedy)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-29 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It would have to be, wouldn't it? I'm nothing but an ordinary human, with no unusual or outstanding qualities as far as I'm aware of.
foundfate: (you are strange)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-29 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
The way you keep insisting on that makes me think you're not being honest.
avoidcomplications: (perfume came naturally from paris)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-29 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm insisting on it because I'm stunned that someone like me apparently ranks as worth kidnapping with aliens, spirits, and whatever else. You've never felt like the only sane man in a room full of insanity before?
foundfate: (stern lecture)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-29 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course I have, but why would you think a person's rank matters here? It's probably a matter of the heart that got us brought here, not our place in the world.
avoidcomplications: (caviar and cigarettes)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-29 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
A matter of the heart? I don't think I know what you mean.
foundfate: (important question)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-29 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean who we are on the inside. Our personality. Our morals.

The Wordsmith hasn't demanded money, or power, or anything else. There aren't even any demands. So what he wants must be something that can't be bought. If this is a test of character, then I wouldn't be surprised at all.

[Spirits love that kind of shit.]
avoidcomplications: (well-versed in etiquette)

...

[yeah, that's not alarming at all]

I...suppose that would be in line with what we've been presented so far.
foundfate: (take my hand)

[personal profile] foundfate 2017-01-29 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. So there must be something that the Wordsmith sees in you that is worth keeping you here for.

[He meant for that to be positive, really.]
avoidcomplications: (just like marie antoinette)

[INTERNAL SCREAMING.]

That's a touching sentiment, though I could do without the attention of a psychopath.
