i'll wait, so show me why you're strong
[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.

Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.
After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

Hmm, that looks like quite a nice drawing. Is it supposed to be a maze?

[ He'll laugh a little; the question is not all that serious. ]

[He's not either, but you know, why not.]

[ He taps his chin to play as if he were thinking hard about it. ]
Hopefully tea cake isn't too much of a tall order.

[ He says it lightly, but there is an undercurrent of excitement. ]
I think in that case that I'd like to have some of your tea cake soon, Kimbley.

Even right now?

If you're willing to stand around and tell me what goes in it, sure.
[Better than sitting around and dealing with everybody getting their feelings all over everything.]

Good, good. Let's go down into the kitchen, then~
[ Why talk about feelings when you can have fun making cake. ]

You just really into cake or something? Not like I fault you if that's the case.

Yes, especially tea cakes made with green tea. They're quite delicious, and I hope when you make some, you eat a bit with me as well so you can have the experience.

Excellent, excellent. It's been awhile since I've had some with another person, I believe.
[ He'll just stand back in the room, because if he touches things he may be a clumsy mess, um. ]
Just let me know when you're ready to start and I'll tell you which to begin with.
