[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.



Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.

After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

[ Fine, fine, she'll open her door to reveal her... having done her best to destroy her bed. Or at least, get the mattress on the ground. It's not gone super well, but she's making some progress ]

It's a totally valid form of stress relief, even if you might need some duct tape later.

This bed's too soft, I'm trying to make it at least look or feel like a proper coffin.

...Oh! Ohhh, okay. Yeah, makes sense. I wasn't sure if that was real or not because it sounds like it'd kind of suck to sleep in a coffin, but I guess it's different for vampires or whatever.

Coffins don't let in light. There's no windows to let that happen here anyway, but it's nice and dark and rigid and comfortable.

[ She's... almost pouting, really. ]

Yeah... I guess if you're used to it, it'd probably be better.

What are you doing with the mattress now that you don't need it?

I'm thinking I'll use it to line the coffin, but I'm not sure how to make it yet.

...I guess you could just cut the top off or something and use that as the liner. I mean, you could get it down to the springs.

...nah, I mostly just break stuff, and not even artfully.

Well, I mean, I've duct taped some broken stuff in my time. It held up okay most of the time.

So you think you can make full walls out of duct tape?

[ That's... an interesting idea. It might smell though. ]

...making a whole wall out of duct tape would kind of suck, but I could definitely duct tape a lot of cardboard together and have that work out okay.
