i'll wait, so show me why you're strong
[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.

Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.
After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

[ He simply takes what she says as fact. ]
... Anyway, Miss Elda, what did you think of what had just happened? Quite surprising, wasn't it?

[ That said, she does preen a little at the whole name thing. ]

[ He'll sip his tea calmly. ]

[ he was right next to her, he probably saw her if he could even take his eyes off the scene.
She heard whatever she could to be sure, but that flash of light had hurt her eyes too much for her to recover enough to process what as going on ]

Ah...well, if that is the case then, I'll tell you what happened, just in case no one has already.
Miss Ushiromiya was consumed by a formless, specter of darkness, which then slithered away, leaving nothing left.

... The whole thing had sounded bad, both what she could hear of what was going on down there and everyone's reactions. She saw some shadow of it - but it was a shadow, wasn't it? ]
Some sort of ghost?

I'm thinking simple physical brute force wouldn't work against it. There'd probably need to be something else to aide, like a spell of some kind or exposing its weak point.

... People here come from some crazy dimensions. [ That's the word Hanyuu used, right? ] This place is the first I've heard of magic I could believe in.

[ That's just him being honest. ]
But maybe something else as nervewracking as that creature.

[ She rolls her eyes at that, spinning a finger in the air as she does ]
Not like anyone is going to team up here after all that either, though.

[ Or at least, this is what he believes. ]
no subject
[ Because she officially Doubts that ]

[ He also believes in people, but he's not going to say that. ]

It's just how it is.

[ After all, she has no reason yet to think he's not human unless his blood smells weird or something ]
no subject
[ Mikazuki probably seems human enough any-way, up until someone asks, that is... ]
no subject
[ But yes, that's her agreement.
... Working with actual demons and humans</>, sheesh. ]
