[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.



Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.

After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

A favorite tea...hm... Usually I only drink sencha, but matcha is really good in desserts! How about you?

Hmm, I suppose my favorite will always be green tea, so I suppose we have a similarity of favorites in there as well. Speaking of green tea being good in desserts, I'd say I really like it in tea cake.

[ Somehow, talking to Munechika is getting her to smile more. It's probably because it's taking her mind off of the trial, the murders of Kyrie and Adelina...and reminding her of home. ]

Ooh, right! Tea cake is one of my favorites, especially with red bean paste!

That's right. I'm the spirit from the blade of Mikazuki Munechika given human form.

Well, zanpakuto are the swords that the shinigami use in combat. Each of them have some kind of spirit attached to it, and they see the shinigami as their master. I...think the spirit also determines what powers the shinigami gets, too? Ahaha, I don't really know much, but that's the gist of it!

I've never heard of such a thing, but I believe I can see why you did confuse me for one. It sounds somewhat similar, in a way, even if those like us are different from zanpakuto.

They are pretty similar, aren't they? I've never really seen the spirits myself, but the concept is the same.

[ Unless you consider that one filler arc canon in which the zanpakuto spirits were personified but. Yeah. ]

So...are you able to talk to your master, too?

[tsugomori]

[ Ah yes, that one. That probably could count... maybe.

Either way, Mikazuki gives a nod to the first bit she says, and then... ]

Hmm... probably not in the same way zanpakuto do. But, eventually, we are able to talk to the Master who summoned us, yes.

Do you have any powers? Or are you just really good at chopping things up?

The way our Master "summons" us is different from the way the zanpakuto are likely summoned shinigami, I assure you.

[ He knows when a saniwa eventually summons him to whichever citadel it'll be because they have the right materials... ideally. ]

I'm only good at using my sword to cut things up. I don't really have any supernatural powers.

[ How do swords get summoned? Well, for zanpakuto, usually the shinigami will say some sort of chant and that's how it works. ]
