WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead.

Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all.

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether.

Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week.

If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

I was born in 1773.

[ Flatly.

:T ]

That gives me enough information to answer my own question. As for me, it was 2028... or maybe 2029? I don't know how much memory I'm missing.

[The problem with having canon point difference over New Years'.]

[ Elda has not actually done the math to realize that she's actually over a decade off from what years she thinks it was... oops.

That said, she blinks repeatedly and- ]

Oh wow, no wonder people are on Mars.

[She doesn't remember offhand what Elda's profile age is.]

I did say no one's actually made it there yet, right? We're just planning on it in the next few years, unless the end of civilization happens first.

Wait, going to Mars is an end of the world thing?

What about the robots?

[ PLEASE TELL HER THERE ARE THOSE...

She might even try to own them, they did look like fun. ]

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-01-31 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
It's not supposed to be. Robotics have advanced enough that they'll happen regardless of whether or not it does.

[Congratulations, you get robots.]

[ . . . ]

What about the flying cars?

[ HMMM ]

Not in my time, so it probably depends on not having humanity blow itself up.

[Literally, in this case.]

Oh man, that's still going on?

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-01-31 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Iiiii wouldn't say "going on" exactly. Things have quieted down some since the 2010s.

[She doesn't remember 2016 too well on account of being eight but it sucked.]
matchbreaker: (MY NUTS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-01-31 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
[ Man she's not looking forward to that in a decade, it really does sound sucky ]

Japan's been peaceful a lotta the time we've raised Henry there, but it's not like it avoided humans starting big wars ether. It lasts all that long?

[ Dramatic sigh... ]

There hasn't been a major war since... what, the 40s? There were a bunch of smaller conflicts since then like Vietnam and Iraq, though...

[Time to shred chicken, because it's barbecue chicken pizza.]

That sounds right, yeah. And it didn't really effect our family other than when they were getting bombed back then. Well, that and there being a lot of MPs snooping around in the night before all that.

It is, yeah.

[ But they did need to leave Europe. And as compared to back then... ]
