WEEK 2 Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead. Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 28

[... War isn't really a thing in Gold's world anymore, hasn't been in a while as far as he knows, so he frowns.]

Why? What the hell're you fightin' a war for?

To... fight someone who wants to destroy the whole universe. It's kind of a big deal, I just... don't know why out of my whole planet I was the only one to go.

[ She has an idea.

She really doesn't like the idea, but it's there. ]

Man, that actually sounds pretty awesome! Bein' the only one that goes to do something like that, out of everyone?

[Gold loves that kind of thing; you get the most attention, the most recognition, there's no one else to look at -- just you. The frown's flipped back to a grin and he leans back on his hands, Polibo giving her a pitying look.]

War's nothin' we gotta worry about anymore, but it ain't that bad, yeah? Especially against someone that strong? Dude, I'd kill for that sorta chance!

[ His enthusiasm at least gets a weird kind of quiet smile from Alani. ]

I wish I felt the same. We're not very war-minded at the monastery.

But you know how to fight, right? Even if you're a monk.

[Going off to war more than implies that, after all.]

I do. There are ways to fight with my powers. Heck, I could probably break us out of here with a cup of water if they were still working. And hey, I may not look it, but I throw a mean punch.

Oh, no way, that is cool! You and Polibo are pretty similar then, he uses water to fight too! Or he did, but he's just a big frog here.

[Polibo is pleased!! He can't use his powers here, yeah, but he's pleased to have something in common with Alani, and he'll take some of the water in his mouth to spit playfully at her.]

[ she giggles, it's hard to be sad about war when a cute frog is being cute ]

Cool! Being big and amphibious and without water powers isn't too bad, though.

[!!! Polibo made her giggle, his mission in life is complete, he can return to being pleased in his basin.]

Right? There's still plenty this guy can do, I've just gotta teach him to throw punches like the best of 'em and get his strength up some more.
