WEEK 2 Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead. Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 28

I don't think we'd really stand a ghost of a chance if we did manage to summon spirits...

Hey no fair, we don't believe in ghosts on Akopos!

It's okay, I never said anything. But we believe in reincarnation. Everything flows in a cycle, even life.

Yeah?

[ ... doesn't that remind her of something. ]

There's a legend on Gran Pulse... that some people are granted eternal life, if they do certain things. I think that's a nice idea.

[ Also, she's literally lived it? Amazing. ]

[iamthatsea]

Huh. There are people in my universe who have obtained eternal life, or at least don't age, but... it's not a pretty thing.

[ravagers]

It's a little more complicated than that. Hmm... I guess I should say, it's not always a nice thing, but some people... they're glad for it.

[iamthatsea]

That's good. The people I've met who have it... they come from the Jennerit Empire, where you're supposed to fight to survive by any means necessary.

[ravagers]

Sounds like a really rough place, this Jennerit Empire.

[iamthatsea]

It is. That's why they left. The emperor is...

[ How does one talk about Lothar Rendain.... ]

... really really terrible.

[ravagers]

Really terrible... Gran Pulse doesn't have emperors or rulers-- [ except Fal'Cie ] --so I can't say I really understand... But I hope they're better off wherever they are.

[iamthatsea]

We don't have them on Akopos either, but I do know a thing or two about Rendain. The biggest jerk in the whole universe.

[ To say the least. ]

They all seem happier, anyway. I think? I don't know any of them super well, but some of them seem like the kind of people who just never look happy.

[ravagers]

I hope someone teaches that guy a lesson, then! Especially if he goes on treating people bad.

[ She nods. ]

Sometimes appearances can be deceiving!

[ for example, a cute girl could actually be able to cast death on her enemies... wow ]

They sure can. A calm sea can cover a vicious riptide, or a storm can make the surface of the ocean roil while below is silent.

They say, anyway.

"They say," huh? I think whoever they are, they're right.

[iamthatsea]

Mmhm. The elders are very wise.

[ She considers saying something else for just a moment, but. No. Let the surface remain calm until tomorrow. ]

[ravagers]

[ Hmm. ]

Sounds like it! [ She crosses her arms, then nods. ] Hey, d'you want to go get a bite to eat? I'm kind of hungry.

[iamthatsea]

I could eat, sure!

[ just dont let her cook vanille doesnt deserve that prompt ]

Alright! What sounds good?

[iamthatsea]

Hm... I don't know! What are you thinking?

[ravagers]

Something warm! Sound good?

[iamthatsea]

Sounds good to me! Warm food is great.

Then off to the kitchen we go!
