Second.
| A week's distance from the last death seems to have helped some of you, seems to have calmed things down somewhat; the presence of a new floor has helped a little in that endeavor as well – things are a little less claustrophobic, a little more open. Of course, for others things haven't been going as smoothly; between the odd dreams that you've all been experiencing and the Wordsmith's incentive, the added space may just be encouraging distance between you and your fellow Apprentices. It seems that only time will tell how things will progress from here. Friday morning comes, and with it comes the brightening of the lights throughout the University – though it seems there's something a bit wrong with the second floor in that regard. Namely, the workshop remains dark. That's probably going to be a problem. >Explore? |

They're not the sort of injuries that one would sustain in a fall, either - for example, if the hit from behind had knocked him out and he'd fallen forward, the impact wouldn't have resulted in this. This appears to be a series of very strong, very deliberate hits to the torso and chest - the ones on his chest and leading just below the ribcage are the darkest, obviously having caused a lot of internal bleeding.]

There are a couple of very small glass shards embedded in one of the bruises on his chest, though - it looks like they're probably accountable for the small tears in his clothes that you noticed earlier.
Also, because I somehow failed to mention this earlier while you were checking the body out - there was notably no glass at all lying on the body, despite it being scattered around the room as much as it is.]

Moving on, unless there's something else notable - anything unusual about his legs or feet?]

There doesn't seem to be anything too noticeable, as in there aren't injuries or anything there - but checking him over will confirm that there's glass underneath the body. It's the same sort of shards that are everywhere else, though they're looking pretty crushed where he's been lying on them.
Interesting.
Other than that, though, there's nothing else notable going on here - looks like you're done for the day.]
