Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-02-10 12:00 pm

Third.

This week has been difficult; between the death of Milla Maxwell and the fact that this motive seems to have hit several people far harder than the last, there's been an unmistakable tension in the air for the past several days.

The week is coming to a close; it's been seven days since the last murder. If no one's moved as of this morning, time is becoming incredibly short before everyone's secrets are revealed.

Either way, the morning dawns undeterred on Friday; the chimes ring out, signaling the hour, and the first and second floors seem clear. For some of you, that may be enough to ensure that you start your day normally; some of you, however, may wish to be a bit more thorough and check the third floor down, just to make sure everything really is all right.

Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. You won't know until you look.

Elda. [Morning, you weird thing you. Kira's apparently gotten mildly curious about whatever you were making him roll dice for, paging through one of said books.]

You're not going to make me play this absurd game with you again, are you?

Well, you do seem to be pretty lucky.

[ Elda said casually!! As she strides into the room, brushing past him to try and get to the little box of dice there and pull out a d20 to show what she means ]

I always have been. Doesn't that automatically put the odds in my favor?

Maybe, but wouldn't that be funny to see you just kick everyone else's ass!

[Kira paused to consider this, glancing to the book in his hands again.]

...Not really. I don't often care to win competitions outright.
matchbreaker: (Wow cool...)

Who doesn't like winning?

[ Elda says this with a baffled sense of amusement, yawning a little as she rolls the d20 on the table.

... She rolls a 6 ]

[He picked up the d20, briefly turning it over in his hand to examine it.]

I detest being the center of attention.

[Rolling it himself produced...a perfectly middle of the road average 10.]

Huh... [ She sighs, looking him over ] It's true you're not bad looking but not handsome, and you do pull off the whole mild-mannered thing well. Do you work hard for that?

[ To be average? ]

One could say that I do, now and then. Back in Morioh I have a very nice life no one questions or finds odd, but it seems that no matter which way I turn here one of you finds something peculiar about my attempted routine.

Well, humans are among thousands, normally. It's hard for a fly or an ant to look strange. But when it's in a room of only thirty people, it's a lot harder to be invisible.

[ She sighs, picking up a d12 ]

Trust me, I'd know.
