Fourth.

It seems that each week is getting harder than the last.

You've lost three of your number already this week, and that's before anyone seems to have tried to take the Wordsmith up on his offer – and from the look of it, the incentive has tempted quite a few of you, perhaps even more than the usual.

But now, the week is coming to an end; maybe it's too much to hope for that it's passed without anyone killing one another. Maybe it isn't. Only time will tell.

The chimes ring out, signaling the hour as they always do; the day seems reasonably normal, with the first three floors of the building seeming clear enough. However, those of you wishing to make absolutely sure may want to head a bit lower down.

It's possible that you'll find nothing down there; the more jaded of you will probably suspect otherwise. Either way, there's no point in keeping the possibility open when you can confirm it for yourselves, is there?

[It's right next to hers, so she's headed on over.

It's not like she'd be any help looking over his body.

So how much of a mess is his room right now?]

[Well, you're going to be stopped by the locked door, first.

...Or at least you would be, were the door not left slightly ajar. Huh.]

[...Honestly, she didn't know what she'd been expecting there.

She pushes the door open, though she doesn't step inside yet, looking the room over carefully first.]

[It's definitely worth taking in, because this sure is a room full of crazy.

The walls are nearly covered in sharpie and most of it looks like notes!]

Can she understand any of the writing?]

[You can! Where would you like to start?]

[Let's just start with the wall nearest the door and go from there clockwise.]

[There are a lot of diagrams like this with chemical notations near them. If anyone knows chemistry they may be able to tell what these are! Otherwise, there are some words further down the wall.]

[She'll jot down the symbol with the ubiquitous notebook she's totally been carrying around the entire time since she doesn't have a clue what it means.

Onto the words, what do they say?]

[He'll look at Jasper first before pushing on the door. They were friends, right? Would it be better or worse of him to go first?

Whatever. He'll let her take the lead, and follow her in. The desk will be his first target.]

[The walls are covered in sharpie writings, but if you're determined to check out the desk you'll be rewarded with... chlorine tablets. There are a lot of them and some have fallen out onto the floor!]

[Squints.]

[What are those and should he be happy that he put his gloves on this morning or not? Fucking future chemicals. He'll go ahead and pick them all up. Is there a source of all these pills? A bottle or something of the sort?]

[Yep, there's a bottle tipped on its side with plenty more tablets inside!]

[He'll count the spilled tablets, just in case it matters, and then deposit them back into that bottle. Anything else for him to see?]

[There's nothing else to find on the desk here, but you're welcome to check out the crazy written on the walls, if you'd like!]

[Time to look at the crazy on the walls, then. Anything particularly crazy next to him? Or is it the same brand?]

[It's all pretty much the same now that Jasper's gotten the important bits! You're all good in here!]

[About that door, though. Is the area around the doorknob damaged in some way? Maybe the lock was turned with the door still open?]

[Nope. It doesn't look like the door or doorknob were damaged at all.]

[Next is the bed, then. She doesn't imagine he got a good night's sleep anyway, but...]

[The bed's definitely a good place to look, since there are two items here. The first one is something you'll probably take note of immediately - it's a room key.]

[She found it!

Let's try that key on the lock to this room, just to confirm.]

[Yeah she thought so. If it was someone else's it'd be like saying "IT WAS ME, AUSTIN. IT WAS ME ALL ALONG, AUSTIN". Or at least lead to more clues, if it was a frame job.

Returning to the bed, how about checking under the blankets and pillows and sheets?]
