[It... definitely takes a while for the weekly after-execution note to arrive, but it does --- kind of scrawly and on ripped paper rather than nice stationery.]

FOOD TOO. THE USUAL AND HOT COCOA. GOOD FOR THE SOUL. GET SOME. MAYBE TAKE IT BACK TO YOUR ROOM IF YOU HAVE TO. JUST GET SOME.

[Anyway, in the dining room, there's plenty of mugs set out, with a janky looking arrow sign pointing into the kitchen to where you can get your hot cocoa. On the table, there's Vichyssoise, a pot of green tea, and some booze. There's also a cookie tray on the floor away from the table on which to burn the Wordsmith and Kimbley effigies, which are handily placed near the food on the table.

...also if you go in the kitchen without shoes on just. Watch the northern corner. There's no kidneys, but there's a lot of broken plates there for some reason...]

[ For the first time in a while, Vanille comes to the afterparty. She doesn't know what to say to anyone, and her heart and legs feel heavy, so she takes a mug of cocoa and sits in one of the corners. She won't be actively seeking anyone out (at least, not until much later, because she doesn't see a few important people here), but she won't say no to anyone who comes to talk to her. ]

[Well, here's someone Phi's been wanting to talk to again.]

[She won't bother to ask whether Vanille is okay, since Phi is sure that after that no one is really.]

[ Her hands tighten on her mug of cocoa. ]

Been a while since we talked, huh?

[Couple weeks. That's a long time in murderland as far as Phi is concerned.]

So what do you usually do with all this spare time?

I usually make things.

[ Plushies. Wooden bling. Questionable baked goods. ]

It all helps to keep my hands and mind busy.

[After that last week, he definitely has to say something to her. Because he does feel a little guilty.]

[ You look a little off... maybe that's just because of the trial. ]

[He is very much off, but he has things to do. Suppressing his emotions and feelings for the sake of others is kind of his thing to do anyway, so.]

I just wanted to see how you were doing. That trial must have come as a shock.

[The part with Gold confessing his feelings, at least.]

Yeah. Lots of it...

[ ... She liked talking to Kimbley, but he'd wanted to kill everyone. She hadn't expected Gold to turn out to be a killer... or that he'd had feelings for her. ]

... You worried about me?

Just a little, yeah. ...okay, maybe a lot.

[He doesn't want her to become emotionally drained and stop caring.]

You should worry about yourself, too. Got something to eat or drink yet?

[ ... she doesn't outright say he doesn't have to worry about her, but it's very heavily implied. ]

[ Orihime's here, too, with her own cup of hot chocolate. ]

[ She pats the spot next to her. Her cocoa's been long since drunk, but she doesn't feel too much like going to get more. ]

[ Taking a seat, then. She hasn't taken a sip out of hers yet. ]

[ She hesitates, then shakes her head. ]

We lost... too many this week...

[ It's been the roughest week so far. So many people she knew, her friends....gone. ]

But it looks like they might be able to communicate with us. I...I sent a letter...maybe we'll hear back.

[ravagers]

A letter...

[ ... Isn't that a thing. ]

You'll have to tell me if you get a reply back.

[ ... there are some things she wants to say to a certain someone. ]

We have to make this week count. [because they promised. and promises matter.]

[ Vanille nods, her heart aching in a now-familiar way. ]

Mm-hmm. Wouldn't be fair to Gold if we didn't try our best, huh?

I'm not sure where to look first... Maybe one of the new rooms will be interesting.

[ She nods. Maybe they'll get more clues, too. ]

I'm kinda hoping for an art room...

Mm-hmm. I'm not the best at it, but I figure it'll be another good way to stay busy.
