and it takes, and it takes, and it takes
[It... definitely takes a while for the weekly after-execution note to arrive, but it does --- kind of scrawly and on ripped paper rather than nice stationery.]
EY. YO. WE GOT EFFIGIES IN THE DINING ROOM AND WE'RE GONNA BURN EM.
FOOD TOO. THE USUAL AND HOT COCOA. GOOD FOR THE SOUL. GET SOME. MAYBE TAKE IT BACK TO YOUR ROOM IF YOU HAVE TO. JUST GET SOME.
[Anyway, in the dining room, there's plenty of mugs set out, with a janky looking arrow sign pointing into the kitchen to where you can get your hot cocoa. On the table, there's Vichyssoise, a pot of green tea, and some booze. There's also a cookie tray on the floor away from the table on which to burn the Wordsmith and Kimbley effigies, which are handily placed near the food on the table.
...also if you go in the kitchen without shoes on just. Watch the northern corner. There's no kidneys, but there's a lot of broken plates there for some reason...]

He really doesWatanuki is quiet for a second, trying to think of what to say, but in the end he decides that there's not really anything he can say to make her not worry about him. So.]
He...yeah. I was better friends with Silver, because me and Gold fought a lot, but he was still my friend.

Watanuki is really warm and comfortable.]I...I know. I wish that they didn't have to do what they did, but I can't...I can't blame them.
[ They'd saved everyone's lives, after all. ]
...Watanuki-kun, I--I don't know how much longer we're going to be here for, but I...I don't want to lose you...

That's surprising, given how noodly he is.His heart skips a beat there, and for half-a-second he feels happy. Someone actually doesn't want to lose him, and it's someone he cares about a lot.
But that moment of happiness leaves just as quickly. Orihime means well, he knows it, but her heart belongs to someone else. He has to keep reminding himself of that fact. Don't his his hopes up, it'll never work out between them, she's just a friend and nothing more.]
I'm not going anywhere, Inoue-san. I'm surprisingly resilient, and I know not to go out on my own when everyone's asleep. I'll be fine.

He's her noodle okayThere's something about Watanuki's presence that's comforting, familiar, warm. She sort of jumped onto him while he was on his chair, so subconsciously, she sits either a) on his knee or b) on whatever empty spot on the chair's left over. Either way, they're still close.
Orihime notices the letter on the desk, and then suddenly feels guilty for looking. ]
Right... If you need to stay over at my room again, you're more than welcome to, okay?
no subject
And she's totally on his knee, but he hasn't quite realized that, mostly because of how drained he is and how much he wants to actually hug someone right now.]
That would be nice. There's probably going to be a tag-along with me though, I promised Gold I would take care of Silver.
no subject
He can always hug Orihime whenever he wants, tbh. Wink wonk ]
Silver-kun is also welcome, too. I...I should see how he's doing.

If you're reading this letter, then it means that I didn't make it out of the place I was being held in. I wanted to make this request in person, but since I can't a letter will have to do. I just hope that the karma I've saved up with you lasts longer than my life did."
You can try, but...well, it was hard on him. He's only talking through notes under the door right now.
no subject
That's better than I was expecting. I thought he wouldn't want to talk to anyone at all.

2: Find the Wordsmith and anyone working with them, and make sure they never do anything like this ever again.
3: Bring me home. Living, dead, however you find me. I just want to be back in my world.
4: If there's any karma left at that point, pass it on to
InoueInoueInoue'Inoue Orihime' and let her"The letter cuts out there.
The first three attempts at Orihime's last name are different attempts at a kanji spelling, with the final attempt just written in hiragana.]
Me too. I honestly think it's just his way of keeping us from breaking the door down.

Okay. So she really did get a good glance at that last part because her name's there. She hates to be intrusive, but--but if that's there, she has to ask: ]
Watanuki-kun, did you have something to tell me?
no subject
[He sort of just blinks at that. Because he hasn't realized that she is reading his letter.
He has, however, realized that she is practically sitting on his lap. And he promptly turns an interesting shade of red.]
Aaaaaaaaaaaaa I'm sorry! I didn't mean to- I-
[He's. Trying to stand up and jump away. With her still sitting on his lap.]
no subject
Eh? What do you mean?
[ And then he's trying to scoot away, and Orihime realizes that this is a very compromising position-- ]
Aaaaaa! I'm sorry I'm sorry!
[ HOPPING OFF OF HIM RIGHT NOW ] I didn't mean to!
no subject
It's alri- you didn't know- Aaaaaah!
[He can't handle this. He absolutely cannot handle this at all.]
no subject
U-Um! It--just happened that way, ahaha?! I-I was distracted!
no subject
[Not until he realized she was sitting on his lap, at least.]
...you know what? Let's just pretend that didn't happen.
no subject
[ they're so flustered..... ]
A-And never mind about telling me what I asked you about! I invaded your privacy, didn't I?
