and it takes, and it takes, and it takes
[It... definitely takes a while for the weekly after-execution note to arrive, but it does --- kind of scrawly and on ripped paper rather than nice stationery.]
EY. YO. WE GOT EFFIGIES IN THE DINING ROOM AND WE'RE GONNA BURN EM.
FOOD TOO. THE USUAL AND HOT COCOA. GOOD FOR THE SOUL. GET SOME. MAYBE TAKE IT BACK TO YOUR ROOM IF YOU HAVE TO. JUST GET SOME.
[Anyway, in the dining room, there's plenty of mugs set out, with a janky looking arrow sign pointing into the kitchen to where you can get your hot cocoa. On the table, there's Vichyssoise, a pot of green tea, and some booze. There's also a cookie tray on the floor away from the table on which to burn the Wordsmith and Kimbley effigies, which are handily placed near the food on the table.
...also if you go in the kitchen without shoes on just. Watch the northern corner. There's no kidneys, but there's a lot of broken plates there for some reason...]

[He hopes Mikazuki isn't making fun of him again.]

Then please take this one for me. Hopefully we will receive a response from them soon.
[ ... It's his lucky day, he's being relatively for real this time! ]
no subject
Right, I will. Can you let me know if you get a response?

[ Beat. ]
... I didn't think this would be the place where I'd be able to write my first letter.
[ Then again he's having a lot of new experiences here... ]

All the people I knew were right there. And even if I were to write a letter to someone I don't think I'd know where to send it. Does that sound strange?
[ He'll tilt his head... well, maybe so. A lot of people have written letters in history... ]

Do you have a lot of friends who live far away back at home?

[ Holidays, hm? He wonders if Japan still does that, in the year of 2205... outside of the citadel that is. He has zero clue. ]
Do they give you letters in return? Or 'thanks'?

...honestly I don't have many friends at home anyway, so it's not like I have a lot of experience with it.

[ Sorta. The first time he's seen a phone is when he's arrived here and he still doesn't know how it works, um.
Although at the mention of the man not having many friends back home, it is a shock. ]
I'm surprised to hear that you don't. You're quite a kind and sweet person.

'Nobody wants to be friends with the scrawny, weird kid.'
'It's not like I go out of my way to make friends anyway.']
Ah, well, that's just how things are.
no subject
Yes... that was how it was. If so, then such a minor thing shouldn't be bothersome. He'll set it aside...otherwise he may do something troublesome and leave Watanuki a letter at his door. That was so silly. ]
Mm. Well, I suppose that may be the case sometimes.
For what it's worth, I do hope I will continue to have the chance to enjoy your company.

Well, I don't plan on dying anytime soon, so I'll be around.
no subject
Good, good. Well, if you need any help with anything else, let me know?
And hopefully, we'll be able to discover something new next week.

[Mikazuki has, somehow, gained a bit of Watanuki's trust!]
