...even if they only had shortening and not actual animal fat and it'd been a while since he'd made it, but it tasted... alright? Definitely not as good as the stuff back home, but it was hard to get that good, anyway.

...there's also the matter of setting things up in a location other than the dining hall, because even though that's cleaned up, it still feels pretty tasteless to hold a wake literal feet from the place you found someone's bloody corpse.

The dining hall ones don't even seem like they'd fit in the library, so Team Afterparty clearly had to improvise. One side is filled with plates, bowls, and spoons, and the other is filled with brownies, cookies, and a big bowl of berry aqutak. There are also chairs dotted throughout the room in a sort of vague circle --- close enough together that if people want to talk, they can, but far enough apart that it'd be easy to drag it off for some privacy.]

What kind of country does he think he's running?

I'd hardly call a place like this a country. Just a small group of people, trapped together, and a madman running the show any which way he likes. He's as much a ruler as I am the Queen of all Britain.

That's assuming he isn't in charge of the world outside here. It would explain why nobody's noticed us.

He claims he didn't take anybody's powers, and we know that's wrong. Even if some of them remained, like with Kamui.

Seems like he's just full of half-truths and lies. Who can tell what else he isn't telling us?

Seems like he's rather set on letting us know there's nothing left of them. Like we'd want to know that!

Or believe it. It doesn't make sense to.

Won't even show us where we are. There's not a single window in this damnable place. We can't even be sure where we are in the first place.

Would we even recognize it? He could be right that it's none of our worlds.

Who's to say? From how neatly the bastard nabbed all of us, he could just as quickly tell us we're all on the bloody moon at this point and we'd have to believe him.

There has to be some way to find out for ourselves. All he ever says is that we have to believe him.

We could try and tunnel through the wall, but that could take weeks!

Or longer. This place appears built to last.

Feels like a whole war could be going on at the doorstep, and we wouldn't notice a blasted thing!

That could even very well be the case.
