[ This trial was a mess. Hard on everyone, filled with conflicting emotions, and the twists and turns in it made it unsatisfying for everyone involved. That's probably become the norm at this point though! As have the gatherings in the aftermath of them. This time around the letter comes under everyone's door fairly quickly into the evening, following only a short delay for those organizing it to get things together and console themselves enough to be presentable. ]

Come to the dining room if you want to be with people. I will have board games, cards, food, and drink. We also will be writing letters to the dead, if you want to do that around others.

[ The dining room's set up is once again fairly simple. Hanyuu broad board games, Elda brought some rpg books though she doesn't expect anything to come of it, and there are a lot of envelopes, paper, and pens from the mail room. The mail room's going to close tonight, of course, but most of the letters will probably be written privately anyway. Elda just wanted people to be sure they knew they could.

Food wise, there's grilled meat and fish, rice, cream puffs (all Hanyuu!) Mikazuki's tea (both black and green!) and Elda's ... spicy fries. Some of them are more mild! However, the mild ones are covered in sugar so uh... that's probably not better. Either way, have at ]

No, he told me what being dead was like, and that he didn't like watching the trials.

I don't blame him honestly, the trials suck.

You know, I thought about messing with him a little bit at the trial. But when we got down there, everything was too serious to consider it.

I thought it would be funny to tell him we dyed the fur and feathers on his pokemon, maybe. Or have you wear a hat and say you shaved your head.

You got any ideas? What would piss him off the most?

...I'd never shave my head. It has to be something believable.

Gold's pretty sensitive. It has to be something ridiculous, not something that would make him feel less important.

What if we had matching fake tattoos? We could use the markers or paint from the art room or something.

Paint would be too obvious, it would smear. A permanent marker is doable, though.

What kind of fake tattoo are you thinking? A 'bff' one or something?

...I think a big Gyarados going down all our backs would be pretty cool, but I don't know if any of us are talented enough for that.

Maybe we're going at this too strongly. Maybe we should get as many people as possible to wear pigtails to the next trial.

...nah, I don't think people will go for that. We only ever go to trials for murder, after all.

Let's go back to the letters. What's something we could write to bother him?

I bet we would get an angry letter from him for that.

Revenge is a pretty strong word. I'm glad I didn't stay on your bad side for very long.

I really don't think you could have, even if you tried. We're too much alike, I would have seen through it eventually.

Maybe. We're still different people, though. You're a better person than I am, if you ask me.

[Although Watanuki probably thinks the opposite, because Watanuki thinks well of everyone but himself. Silver pulls him into a one armed hug anyway.]

I'm a messed up idiot that's messed up pretty much everything good I've ever had. But I've got you here, so it's not all bad.

[And that's the reality of the matter. He hugs Watanuki a little tighter.]

If something happens to you, I'll never forgive you. Got it? I won't be able to get through it.

[This is assuming that Watanuki gets killed, of course. He can't conceive of Watanuki trying to pull some kind of stunt at this point. Not after everything that's happened so far.]

[God Silver, why do you have to be so emotional like that? Watanuki will go ahead and hug him tighter too, because he doesn't want to let Silver go, not when he's feeling down like this.]

...and there's plenty of things you haven't messed up, so try not to beat yourself up over it, alright? I know it's hard, but watching you do this to yourself is harder.
