The past week has been tense, despite everyone's best efforts to lessen the heavy atmosphere of worry and dread; the deadline for the incentive has been creeping ever-nearer, and the potential for consequences to come down – not only on you, but on those who have already suffered and died in the name of this "course" you've all been put through – has been difficult to ignore as time goes by. But whatever one may be feeling about it, the world keeps turning and time moves ever-forward; Friday morning dawns eventually, heralded with the usual ringing of chimes and silence laying heavy over most of the university. Perhaps things have been uneventful; checking the first few floors may imply that, for those of you that are feeling hopeful. Searching lower down, however... Well, things may not be as acceptable as they seem, let's put it that way. >Explore?

[The large pool of blood seems to be largely concentrated on her clothes and to the left side of the body; the right side seems to be a bit clearer for you.

...As...seems to be a recurring theme in this round, though, you might want to be wearing shoes. Not that there's anything but blood on the floor, but still. Blood on the floor.]

[It's fine, she's not her vampire girlfriend, she's got shoes.

Hanyuu will start on the right side then, and... Well, first of all she's going to look for any obvious cause of death. Like, you know, how all that blood got outside her body that's always a great place to start.]

[Well, first of all, let's have some notes about how the body is arranged so you know what you're looking at.

Orihime is lying on her back, facing upwards, with her hands clasped just below her chest - the way that one commonly associates with a body prepared for burial. She has a few yellow roses clutched in her hands, making it a bit hard to see what's going on with her chest. Not deliberately obscuring anything, from the look of it, just how things ended up.

Her chest seems to be the source of all the blood, though there's a spot on her stomach that seems to have been injured as well - you can just see it beneath where the hem of her shirt was tugged up a little.

[Why's she holding roses...? Why does she look like this?

Hanyuu's going to start investigating her chest. That means she's got to move those hands a little, is there anything she'll notice as she does?]

[We can get to "why the roses" once setting investigation happens! Until then...

Well, it looks like she's got some cuts on her palms, actually. Not from the roses' thorns, either - more like you'd see from a blade.]

[Are they deep, or shallow?]

[They're not too deep, but they're not particularly nice-looking, either. The blade doesn't appear to have been serrated, at least.

She's also got cuts on her fingers as well, same sort of deal - apologies for not mentioning that sooner, apparently I can't read today.]

[NO WORRIES FRIEND okay, with the hands aside (...quite literally), she'll take an uncomfortable look at Orihime's chest, where the blood's coming from. ...That's either slash or a stab, isn't it.]

[It looks like a stab wound - it's deep, and it seems to have hit her right in the heart.]

[So you know who's very familiar with stab wounds? Can Hanyuu tell anything about the angle of the wound? Could it betray anything about the height of the culprit?]

[Actually, not really - everyone still alive except Elda is taller than Orihime, after all, and most of them are taller by a margin of five inches or more at that. Although it seems like whomever this was either knew what they were doing or got extremely lucky - it's a single stab wound, so the culprit didn't hit her ribs, she died on the first try.]

[Well, she had to try. However, that is very interesting. A direct hit, that's...not easy, not at all.

...She really doesn't want to continue examining this. If there's nothing else to look at around her chest, then Hanyuu will move down to the wound on her stomach.]

[It looks like there's bruising, as opposed to an open injury. Kind of like she was hit with something hard, it doesn't look like it came from someone just punching her.]

[How big does it look? Can she get an idea of the size of whatever made that bruise?]

[It's hard to tell, because she was hit pretty hard and there's a good amount of blood vessels there. There's a darker spot on it that isn't...huge or anything, so it's not like somebody took a warhammer to her abdomen or something, but otherwise it's difficult to discern.]

[You know, at least we aren't looking at another damn warhammer, like that would automatically be obvious probably but let's just count our very very small blessings.

Woof, where else to look...? Her clothes? That's always a good place to examine.]

[Her clothes are drenched in blood; it's fairly obvious that she bled out all over. It also looks like her pockets were turned out.

You want to move upwards a bit? Given how she was found, her expression is a little...interesting.]

[Pockets searched, again. She hopes someone's looking through Orihime's room.

...Yeah, that is kind of...strange. Hanyuu's going to examine her face.]

[Given that she was hit and stabbed, you'd think she would look a little more distressed. however, it seems like whomever set her down on the ground did something about that - namely, her eyes seem to have been closed.

One more thing is a bit off about her head, and then we're done here - it has to do with her hair.]

[What did someone do to poor Orihime's hair?]

[I mean, it's not like it looks bad or like someone gave her a sudden and unappreciated undercut or anything - a few locks of it are noticeably shorter than the rest, however. If you look a short distance away - not too far, just a little ways away from her head - you can see some strands of orange lying on the floor.

So maybe they didn't get her in a single hit after all. Definitely only one wound to her chest, mind, but still.

...Hanyuu's going to...quietly remove Orihime's hairpins from her hair. ...It'll be alright. She'll return them to her, soon. When they meet again, she'll give it back again.

Gently, she leans a little more, so she can give Orihime a kiss on her forehead...and, to whisper:]
