that's not what we usually mean by 'dance with death'

[That certainly did happen. Cherryblod's not the type of person who will judge one person's value as being more than another's, so he can't say whether it was better or worse than the first week. It came as less of a shock, maybe, but even so...

It's not the kind of thing people usually want to go through alone.

So, after he spends some time in the kitchen preparing (with assistance from Bruce), he'll slip some personalized notes under everyone's doors.]

[Name],
If you'd prefer to spend this time alone, that's fine.
If you'd prefer not to, I've made some food and set it out in the dining hall.
Even if you're just hungry and would rather not talk, feel free to come take some.
But if you'd like the company, we're here for you.
-Cherryblod

[Those arriving in the dining hall will find an assortment of food - a fair number of sandwiches and other, actual meal-like options since most people missed a meal or two, but also a goodly number of desserts. There's tea, as well as coffee for those who favor it.]

[You know what, may as well indulge Yato. Who knows, maybe being in good terms with him will give good luck in gambling once everything is over and he is out of the Vault.

Of course that doesn't go through his mind right now, this is no time for such idle thoughts! It is just something he had thought back at the beginning.

There you go, pinky promise. It is settled!]

I'll remember this promise of you, then.

...I can't believe a god made a pinky promise with me. This Vault is seriously the weirdest place I could ever have been in.

Well, I can tell you one thing earnestly! It's not worse than hell.

[ Hell sucks and the queen of it is definitely worse than the Kingmaker... ]

This place is definitely weirder than hell, though.

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-13 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
That is a relief, I suppose. Not that I used to believe on heaven and hell. I'll really have to reconsider that thought.

So this is all weird, even for a god? That sounds a tad hard to believe!

[personal profile] capyper 2016-03-13 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely weird. I mean, normally, probably all of you wouldn't even be able to notice or remember me! Not that I'm complaining about that, of course.

[ It would be extremely inconvenient, in a circumstance like this... ]

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-13 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
I think that's what people usually say about angels, back at my home. I don't really know, I haven't paid attention to those matters that much.

You should! Divine assistance comes cheap, you know. Only five yen, the standard shrine offering.
sleepingkogoro: (what was that)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-13 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Only five yen?

...

...what kind of divine assistance are you talking about?

[Because how can something good come so cheap!]

[personal profile] capyper 2016-03-13 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Depends on the god! And what kind of help that you need. Luckily, you have a jack of all trades right before you, who listens to any kinds of wishes.

... I mean, I'm not really at top usefulness given I don't have my divine weapon, but when we get outta here, I'll grant as many wishes as you like!
sleepingkogoro: (i saw that)

[AHEM]

I will remember that! I'll give you all the offerings you need, and don't be afraid, I don't really have a wish to ask for!

[Well he does want good luck, but to be honest he wants to keep the offer alive for as long as possible. He thinks that if he blurts it right now Yato will revoke the offer, so keeping it silent for the moment!]

Maybe when we're out I'll have thought of something.

Alright, sounds good to me! And make sure to spread the word about the delivery god Yato to everybody you know when we get out, too.

[ H-he can still dream of becoming a famous god someday... right... ]
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-13 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
I can promise that too. I don't promise you'll get a shrine built anywhere in the city, but at least people will know about your divine help.

[Supposing your help does work, but that goes unsaid. What can be said, Mouri is a selfish man]

[personal profile] capyper 2016-03-13 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I already have a cute little shrine, so the advertising is enough for me! ... Well, maybe someday a bigger shrine would be nice... but for now, I just want to get my name out there.

[ He's not kidding when he says cute and little either, ahah. ]
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-13 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hahahaha, that is really a small shrine. Yato doesn't even fit in there]

Not so known as a god?

[Japan does have a lot of gods, Mouri knows that, who knows, maybe there really is a Yato in his world too and he never knew]
capyper: (pic#9989250)

[personal profile] capyper 2016-03-13 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Competition is stiff, you know! There's a whole eight million of us... but someday, you'll be hearing the name Yato among the most famous of gods! More famous than Bishamon, that's for sure!

[ It's... good to dream big. ]
sleepingkogoro: (no way im wrong)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-14 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Bishawho?]

Eight million?! How can there be so many gods?!

[Ludicrous. Mouri really is hoping his world doesn't have that many gods]
capyper: (pic#10049882)

[personal profile] capyper 2016-03-14 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. There's gods for tons of different stuff. 'Cause gods are born of human wishes, and there's all different sorts of stuff that humans wish for, right?
sleepingkogoro: (no way im wrong)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-14 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
And what kind of wish were you born of, then?

[Asked without thinking. He's still reeling from knowing there are eight million gods and chances are the number will continue growing]

That's a secret! ... But lately, my guidepost has been helping me figure out how to become a god of fortune. He's super tough on me, but I'm making the transition from plain old delivery god to a true blue god of fortune!
