We are admittedly not entirely sure what the heck the catgirl is there for, but she's there. Anyway, in the dining hall this evening, Aqua and Yato have set things up for a group dinner!! All the food is being put on one table; the rest of the room is for mingling and is colorfully decorated in a way that suggests that Yato went wild in the art room at some point and decided what we all really need in our lives is more color and more glitter!!

There's also this piece of paper with everybody's names on it in pairs, and sets of questions (red tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet). That's right, your mystery game is speed-dating and Yato is here to be your cupid for the evening!! ]

It's — da da da dun! — Speed-dating! [ Yes, he did just make his own sound effects. ] ... Or, well, you don't actually have to date, you just have to ask each other these questions and get to know each other better. It'll be fun, I promise!

So like a scavenger hunt but the things we're looking for are information? I got it, I'll be great at this.

Sigrun I understand [she is a formidable woman] but Yosuke too?

Well, I kinda gave him an unfair advantage, 'cause I said on the directions everybody should talk to him... but! There's a reason for that! And it's because I want to see some romance blossoming. And he's, like, a teenage guy so he'll be easy to romance!

That's a pretty interesting plan. You think it's gonna pan out?

I have confidence! I mean, even the Kingmaker said that he probably has a chance at getting romanced, and he's probably spying on us most of the time, so he'd be the creepy best judge of that.

[ The "creepy" part should not be underemphasized there... ]

His embarrassing side just makes him more endearing! I can totally see it happening.

Who, the Kingmaker? I just asked him. Maybe he's interested in this kind of thing too, because he doesn't answer a bunch of my other questions...

Maybe that is the answer! Spam his phone until he has no choice to answer something!!

Oh! You text him? Maybe that's it... I always call him and he's so dismissive. Maybe he can open up more when he writes it out?

That could be it! Besides, it's easier for me to text him... I don't really like listening to his voice.

I'm so used to phone calls I just gravitated to that without thinking about it. Maybe I'm really putting a strain on him by doing that? Maybe he dislikes his own voice too!

He's still in his twenties, after all... a member of the current generation is probably all about being a super flaky texter [ yato ] so it really could be that he doesn't like calling. Not that he's been very receptive on texts either, but I did get important information, like he doesn't spy on us in the bathrooms!

That's very important to know! Good catch! [Wait.] What about our bedrooms? What did he say about those?

I asked, but then he was like, "Why would I keep telling you these kinds of things?" ... So I have no idea on that one.

[ The sad thing is, he wasn't even trying to use the information to do sneaky things, he just doesn't want to be watched when he's sleeping?? That's weird???? ]

That's a total yes. He's definitely trying to get out of that one without lying. I'll have to find whatever looks suspicious in there...

[Is she saying she will cover her wall in paint and art tape? Probably yes.]

... Now that I think about it, I wonder if that means he has help? I mean, there are more than twenty of us! He can't possibly watch us all at the same time... probably.

Well... If he records everything and watches them at an accelerated speed on multiple monitors then he'd be able to see everything. That would cause a time delay though and he seems pretty prompt.

Huh... I wonder if we can find out if there's more than one of them watching us. That'd be pretty useful to know! ... Which makes me think that he's not going to tell us, but I dunno how to figure something like that out.
