romance and murder go so well together
[ If the colorful posters from Tuesday weren't enough, Yato has redoubled his efforts for today and slapped these up all over the place:

We are admittedly not entirely sure what the heck the catgirl is there for, but she's there. Anyway, in the dining hall this evening, Aqua and Yato have set things up for a group dinner!! All the food is being put on one table; the rest of the room is for mingling and is colorfully decorated in a way that suggests that Yato went wild in the art room at some point and decided what we all really need in our lives is more color and more glitter!!
There's also this piece of paper with everybody's names on it in pairs, and sets of questions (red tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet). That's right, your mystery game is speed-dating and Yato is here to be your cupid for the evening!! ]

[Praise for her lazy sandwiches. This is the response she deserves. But also mystery games that she will just pretend aren't supposed to actually be speed dates.]
You found me quickly, huh? Am I supposed to ask a question first since you found me first?

[It also isn't too difficult to miss Lynne's brightly-colored hair! Because he can talk.]
I believe that may be the case! Though it doesn't really matter, unless there is a question you absolutely do not want me to snap up first.

I don't think there should be any? [Scrutinizes the dating cheat sheet card Yato gave her. What a great event.] Umm... How about 'What would constitute a “perfect” day for you'?

[As enthusiastic as he sounded at first, it fades a little as he comes back to reality.]
Of course, I haven't been able to work on my research at all since arriving here, so I've been forced to try to find productivity elsewhere.

You really love your work, huh? I'm glad to see other people who followed their passions! What have you been doing around here then? Any experiments that could blow a hole clear through one of these walls?

I am very dedicated to it, yes. As for what I've been doing here... Well, I hate to burst your bubble but unfortunately I have not found the key components for a bomb just yet. Besides, I've had a hunch that we may be underground, so I'm not sure how much good blowing down a wall would do.
I've mostly been toying with whatever mechanical trinkets come out of the vending machine since the library is rather starved for nonfiction research material of any kind. That, and learning about others' worlds. We have quite the odd group here.
