romance and murder go so well together

[ If the colorful posters from Tuesday weren't enough, Yato has redoubled his efforts for today and slapped these up all over the place:

We are admittedly not entirely sure what the heck the catgirl is there for, but she's there. Anyway, in the dining hall this evening, Aqua and Yato have set things up for a group dinner!! All the food is being put on one table; the rest of the room is for mingling and is colorfully decorated in a way that suggests that Yato went wild in the art room at some point and decided what we all really need in our lives is more color and more glitter!!

There's also this piece of paper with everybody's names on it in pairs, and sets of questions (red tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet). That's right, your mystery game is speed-dating and Yato is here to be your cupid for the evening!! ]

[That's because it's important for a leader to keep going on no matter what happens and think forward, protecting her team all the way. But out loud the reason's simple:]

I was born this way! It's the reason I'm the number one troll hunter and esteemed captain among my brethren, asked for by everyone and then some. So thanks, it's a good thing to like about me.
bloodisthicker: also vote for me k (here let me flatter the shit out of you)

Well, that is impressive. Honestly, I think a lot of people back home should have that kind of can-do attitude --- maybe then, things would actually get done.

[...though maybe they should have better judgment because he's now kind of amazed Sigrun made it through childhood tbh]
captainobnoxious: (56 go for it)

[Really, there's probably plenty of people who feel the same.]

Yell at them. That'll get them off their butts.
bloodisthicker: i need at least one of these on every account (unlimited smug works)

Well, fortunately, I usually get the majority opinion on my side, so the one who doesn't want to actually do anything worthwhile usually gets overruled. No yelling necessary, although raising my voice to punctuate a point tends to help.
captainobnoxious: (03 can't be that hard)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-20 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
How do you do it? Get the majority on your side, I mean. I don't think I've been able to do that since the first trial.
bloodisthicker: instrumentality hooooo (let's gendo ikari this shit)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-20 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... first, you've got to know what they want to get what you want. Most people are pretty easily influenced by fear, so if you say things that make it sound like you're protecting them and the people they care about and getting things done, you can get them on your side pretty quickly.

Of course, it's... more delicate than just that. You've kind of got to handle it like a sewing needle as opposed to a sledgehammer.
captainobnoxious: (08 you sure you're not 16)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-20 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
... But you don't lie to them, right?
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-20 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...You can exaggerate some things or downplay a little bit, but it should be based in truth.

[That makes them more convincing, after all!]
