Fourth.

Friday morning starts as all mornings in the Vault do. The klaxons sound off at seven in the morning; some awaken easily, some don't, but the point remains that for better or worse, everyone has to leave the room they were sleeping in eventually.

A few will be spared from the immediate knowledge that something is amiss – those whose rooms are tucked away in the corners of the dorms and don't have a clear view of the hallway may get a few seconds' peace of mind. However, as soon as the main hallway is visible it becomes obvious that something isn't right.

It isn't like the first week, where the blood was contained to the far end of the building. This time, the blood starts in the dormitory hallway.

It looks like it's starting near one of the dormitory rooms toward the middle of the floor.

[That is a lot of blood... how about her clothes first now, specifically? How badly are they damaged, if they are at all?]

[Pretty damaged. Not quite as bad as the massive slash wounds on Zagi, but it looks like whatever happened here wasn't a particularly clean job - they aren't elongated slits, but they're a little jagged around the edges.

They're corresponding with the multiple stab wounds on her body.]

[Multiple stab wounds? So she was attacked several times before...]

...I'm so sorry. [He mutters, unable to help himself once more. Another person dead, and another culprit among them... dealing with this week after week is far too exhausting. Still, he has to continue - determination, and all that.

Looking closer at the wounds and the damage done to her clothes now - just to be sure, are the damages on her clothes only done at the parts where she had been stabbed at? Or are there other areas that have damaged as well?

As for the stab wounds themselves... where are their exact placements? Do any of them hit any vital areas of the human body?]

[There isn't any other clothing damage outside of the areas where she was stabbed - in other words, she doesn't look like her clothes were grabbed at hard enough to tear them, and there isn't any other superfluous damage to her clothes to imply that she was beaten or otherwise roughed up. It's what you would expect given the injuries she's got.

The stab wounds seem to be centered around her chest and abdomen; she wasn't stabbed in the face or anything, and it doesn't look like another case of "one tactical injury to knock an artery open," either - the blood patterns on her clothes are definitely consistent with someone having been alive and then...well, stabbed a lot.]

[Well at least it seems that this time its not done by a professional.. but who knows, really. Its hard to be sure.

Either way, he supposes that's as much as he possibly can get out of the wounds right now (he's really not this kind of doctor). Mouri's looking at her hand and Gabriel seems to have found something too, and Bruce debates for a moment what else to find when he then realizes something very odd--the fact that they're in her room in the first place.

...time to check the pockets in her clothes. Is there by any chance her Kingmaker-given device to be found in any of them...?]

[Good thinking, Bruce - a device/room key is actually still in her pocket.]

[...as much as he hates to do this, he'll... be holding onto that.

And just to be safe he's going to check all her other pockets. Is there anything else in them that he'll be able to find...?]

...although now that Gabriel is done with what he's spotted Bruce is going to take a look at it himself. Just as with Mion, he's trying to see the general shape of the bruise and if it happened before or after death. If he can make those out, anyway. The hair probably makes it tricky.]

[It's fairly dark, so it was probably before death - given that her head was turned to the side, it's not like blood would have settled there naturally, so logically there was blood flow there.

As for the size of it, it's difficult to discern.]

[ There was no way to easily avoid seeing this this time, wasn't there? The King didn't think himself as especially reassuring company--but this time, he was resolve to not turn his eyes away and stick by his roommate in his investigation.

He looks around Megumi's room, where's the lighting placed? ]

[How do you mean?]

[ Given that it was in her room, was there any chance she could have been ambushed where she couldn't see? Something like that. ]

[Does the bruise itself have any pattern or indentation to it? Anything that could feasibly show an impression of what had been used to hit her?

...he'll be pressing his fingers against the bruise and trying to trace it out generally, too, just to be sure he has everything.]

[Actually, no - there's no patterned indentation, and it doesn't feel like anything in her skull broke or anything, either, while you're there.]

[Are there any bruises on her hands that look like she may have hit her attacker?

If not that, are there any injuries besides the stab wounds?]

[Mouri seems to be checking her hands over, but it looks like there may be something toward the back of her neck, hidden a bit by her hair - it's visible with her head turned the way it is, albeit a bit difficult to see.]

[Ugh, he's no doctor. This is out of his league.

He brushes her hair out of the way to get a better look at it, because he can't quite make out what it is.

What does he see?]

[Well, something definitely came into contact with the back of her head, let's put it that way.]

[Is there anything in the room nearby that looks like it might have been used to smash her over the head?]

[There is not.]

[Looks like Bruce has it; you're good here.]
