The klaxons blare out early on Friday morning, as always. Depending on how late you were out at the party last night, they might not be very welcome, but at least it seems the Kingmaker isn't having any difficulties with them today.

The Vault's setup has always been a bit unfortunate on Fridays – the fact that the view from the dorms is a straight shot down the corridor tends to make it completely and immediately obvious when something is wrong.

It isn't blood this time; there are no large crimson stains splashed around the hallway or leading outward from one of the rooms.

What is there, however, is a person lying on the floor near the stairwell.

That doesn't bode well, does it.

[Lynne's hand comes back clean, actually. Or, well, wet but unburned. So it looks like the water's safe.]

I don't know what causes burns like this though, so... I guess we're stuck on that point. Look around and see if you can find anything for me. If it's not a knife it's not a murder weapon I want.

[It got on her face, yes, that is clearly seen... and from the looks of it, it might've got poured into her mouth and just spilled over. Like regular water.

It actually looks like it wasn't ingested - anything that burned her face like that definitely would have burned the inside of her mouth and throat, and it doesn't look like that happened.]

[Good, because someone made a goddamn mistake in being a curious cat and looked up to see what burned mouths look like and let me tell you I regret everything.

... So. Anything else of particular note about her body, because if not Sigrun'll cover Lynne with her own jacket and check out the water. To see if it's coming from anywhere in particular.]

It doesn't look like the sauna is leaking or anything, either, though - it's just...weirdly wet in here, despite the fact that the thing isn't on. The water doesn't look like it's been doing a great job of evaporating, though.]

Whoa, bleach?

[bleach alone would hurt in the eyes and make you sick if you drank it... but alone shouldn't have burned her like that, right? Not enough to kill her unless she was literally taking a bath in it.

So he takes the bottle and uses his free hand to waft scent up to see if it smells like just straight bleach was in there.

Bleach can be dangerous. I used really diluted stuff to lighten my hair. The straight stuff can blind you or make you REALLY sick. Even die.

Oh good. I was worried they like, mixed it with something to make it even worse.
