If you were completely confident right now, despite how much has happened, that would be the hallmark of a bad leader. Complete overconfidence doesn't make for good decisions. And if you were ready to give up because things aren't going well for you, that'd be a sign of a bad leader, too.

That you have these worries, but you're still doing your best for us is the best sign of a worthy leader I can think of.

You're the best one for the job and you're doing as well as anyone could. It may not mean much to hear me say it, but it's what I believe.
