Week 6.
The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

SUNDAY

- the sky is bleeding -
- eyes and hands and eyes and hands -
Cherryblod wakes up in a cold sweat.
As little as he wants to drag himself out of bed, he has to. The first thing he does is cook a large breakfast in the kitchen. There's no way all those omelettes are just going to one person, and indeed he sets them out on the dining room table with a sign in familiar handwriting: 'take as many as you want'.
Stress cooking is a good coping mechanism. He'll be in there for a while.
Eventually, he gets around to investigating the sixth floor, though nothing really catches his eye. He doesn't know what to do with the science lab - the infirmary is good to have - the workshop is a bit more accessible than the science lab but still not his area of expertise. He can be found poking around in any of those rooms, though he looks more scattered than usual and isn't getting too close to anything dangerous.
He knows he's not all there today, after all. His thoughts are back at home.]

"There are no strings on me."
"Really? That's it? You just roll over, show your belly every time somebody snarls?")
Red. So much red everywhere. There's no more green but red, red the color of spilled blood as it spreads across the kitchen tiles--
("You're stronger than her. You're smarter than her. You're Bruce Banner.")
People screaming. Running from him. People hurt, injured--dead.
All because of him.
When Bruce wakes up this time, its with tears in his eyes and a heavy, leaden weight in his stomach.
There's no real way he's in the mood for breakfast, not with the latest dream playing out in his head over and over again. He hasn't felt this shaken up in so long - not even anything that happened here had affected him this badly. He wants to tell himself they're just dreams, they're not supposed to be real, but--
What if, his mind tells him. What if.
It's not a line of thought Bruce wants to continue on.
For better or for worse, the sixth floor this time seems to be full of rooms that hold his interest - between the chemistry lab and the infirmary Bruce seems to be able to sufficiently occupy himself well enough to not let his thoughts stray too far. In both rooms Bruce is equally busy looking through everything and taking stock of whats in said rooms, only really coming down to the dining hall to eat in the evening after spending most of the day up at the new floor.
...and then after nighttime Bruce is back at the incinerator room once again, giving Stan's punching bag a good workout once more. As much as he tries, this time its not going to be easy to just shake off what he had dreamed.]

The sash he got from the vending machine seems like a horrible joke in light of his recent memory, so one Hero's Sash can be found thrown right in the fucking doorway to the hallway, next to Black's room. (You can tell it's a hero's sash because it has OUR HERO stitched in multi-colored felt-letters.)
Black won't be found anywhere near there, though his door has been left... open... Who cares about this? Not him! Not today! He'll probably care later, but for now? N o p e. There's nothing big to investigate, but it might be good to let him know if you see him :3c.
And where can you see him (provided you aren't Yosuke, Cherryblod, or Sigrun, all of which he is avoiding the ever-living fuck out of, I'm so sorry)? Well—the sewing room is a given. He's working on a golden retriever today, very determined-like. There's more bandages than usual on his hands, and some of them are actually... bloody, because he might've accidentally stabbed himself instead of just pricking himself, and that's just how today's going, I guess. There's a black and yellow lamb that's the usual size for the stuffed animals here, so that's obviously got to be for the chapel, but what's up with the dog (that is distinctly bigger than that)? And the white dress by it? It sure doesn't look like anyone here, huh.
Otherwise, there's also the chapel! He's not done with anything for it, but he's making sure he cleaned up everything from last night's party, and he needs to sit in a pew for a while. And hold his head in his hands. He's clasping... something in one of them, a silver celtic cross on a thin chain necklace, similar to your typical woman's jewelry, and when he does press his hands together his lips are moving in some silent prayer.
He's not bothering with the new floor today, so after he's through with the above he'll be in his room proper, yes. Again, the door is open, but at least he's in it and aware that it is. There's a recently opened bottle of scotch by him that's totally empty, and he's got a second one open and halfway gone. And he's got his vault-given phone in his hands, so maybe he'll be texting in the next ten minutes, who the fuck knows.
This ain't a combination of shitty ideas in the slightest, nosirree. ]

investigating
Gabriel wakes with a scream no one but him can hear.
By the time he's awake enough to head to the kitchen, he's pale-faced and still shaken.
Eventually he heads to the new floor to take note of everything in the chemistry lab before heading into the workshop where he starts to take in everything. Time to start tearing this place apart. Figuratively, of course.]

A little investigating!
But what does he do now? If he and the others find a way out, what is he going to do with his life?
Well, he decides to put his wandering thoughts on hold for now. After visiting the kitchen for his morning coffee, he makes a stop at the vending machine to dump a bunch of coins he had accumulated over the weeks into it. He gets a lot of odds and ends, but the most important thing is a familiar red and white ball. Another of his Pokemon! While he originally thought he only had two Pokemon with him, his dreams have left him wondering. Would this be Magneton, or something else? He would get his answer soon enough.
He quickly drops his other trinkets off in his room before heading up to the new floor with his Pokemon in tow, a strange alien-looking one joining the ranks. He was going to check out everything on the new floor, but once he pokes his head into the chemistry lab, all bets are off. This is where he's going to spend the rest of his day to check the inventory and have a closer look around (and also drag Bruce into it if he hasn't been in there yet).
Between being reunited with Beheeyem and finding a room to get his Science!! on, he really needed a pleasant distraction from everything confusing in his life right now.]

If you end up with that absolute bastardization of Korobeiniki in your head for the rest of the day, I am so sorry. (Mettaton isn't, but still.)
Otherwise, he can be found in the dining hall later on, though as usual he's not eating anything; instead, he's standing balanced with one of his legs braced up on a table, one of those toolkits from storage out on said table next to him. Looks like he's fucking around with both one of the screwdrivers and his damn ankle – it's not like anything is broken, but minor repairs are probably a good idea given that he's been doing nothing but DDR and running up and down like five flights of stairs for the past several days and it's not like he's got Alphys here to fix things for him if he utterly fucks something up.
...He's also doing this out in the open because if he does manage to utterly fuck something up, it's probably for the best that he does it somewhere he's easily found and not, like, locked in his room or something. So. Minor robot surgery out in the open it is.
He's not in nearly as bad a mood as he was during the afterparty, but he's still in varying stages of shitshow throughout the day; it's a bit hard to tell whether it's because of Misa or...whatever happened in his head last night, but it doesn't really matter as far as he's concerned – after all, the result is going to be the same either way.
He'll be in Room 13 again eventually, though; he'll have the door open, despite the fact that he's on the bed again, either texting furiously again or just kind of...staring blankly at the several inches of dead space in front of his face. He's okay, generally, just kind of listless; normally he'd be trying to deal with it by lying on the floor, but apparently that's alarming and so he'll refrain for now.]

investigation
At least the hallway has a nice surprise for him. He has no idea how Mabel's gift to him ended up lying out there, but it's good to have again. For lack of any other goals, he gravitates up to the chapel, where he sits with the folded Hero's Sash (You can tell it's a hero's sash because it has OUR HERO stitched in multi-colored felt-letters) on his lap and looks right through the memorial. After a while, he takes out a sketchbook from the artroom and starts working; it isn't long before a portrait of Misa joins the other dead. They shouldn't have to rely on the Kingmaker and another trial for one.
If nothing else, the workshop is engaging. Stan can be found poking around the materials in there after a while, eventually going so far as to start opening all the drawers and going through their contents. If he's gonna mess around in here all day, he might as well see if something useful can come of it.]

MONDAY
MEETING, THE SIXTH EDITION
He's up bright and early - or rather, he hasn't been sleeping again for the whole night, so if anybody sees bags under his eyes again that is why. Just as with every other week the usual notice for the meeting is duct taped to the bulletin board right after the morning alarm - its back to its more normal schedule now of 11AM at the dining hall.
Before the meeting Bruce will be in the kitchen making lunch for everyone in the meeting later - its routine too now, at this point. Today's meal is some potatoes and pork, vegetables and also rice. Or fries and salad, for those who prefer a more western approach.
All of that is on the table for people to take as they wish with the plates and bowls set on the side; once everyone has their food and is settled Bruce again cracks out his Ubiquitous Notebook and starts the meeting.]
Let's start. Anybody with something to bring up or to discuss, please voice it out here so that we're all up to date.
[After the meeting Bruce spends some time in the dining hall doing a quick initial draft of the meeting minutes and summary to pass to Black once more. When he's done with that he spends time in the kitchen to clean up, and for pretty much the rest of the day after that he's all the way up at the sixth floor occupying himself again between the chemistry lab and the infirmary.
...except again, after nighttime, where Bruce now hides himself in the library with a stack of books next to him, but he isn't reading any of those; instead he's got his mobile phone out again (already down to half battery), staring at the screen as he swipes through the assortment of photos that are apparently on it.]

The next thing one might notice is he has his notebook out and is... drawing? At a glance it looks like he might be mapping out the vault. There's big blocks of the layout scribbled out.
Later in the afternoon, before dinner time, he's managed to hole himself up in the sewing room. Changed into his jumpsuit and glaring at his normal outfit spread out of one of the tables. The poor thing is pretty beat up- it's a COSTUME after all, and wasn't made to be worn almost every day and washed so much. There's small holes and 'pills' on the shirt and pants both.]

TUESDAY
INCENTIVE
You have ten minutes to gather in the dining room. I have an announcement for you guys.
[As always, it's just a formality; he can still be heard throughout the Vault. But surely it's the thought that counts, and who doesn't want some unity in these trying times.]
I know some of you have been wondering what there is out there to rule over, and what sort of things this world has to offer you. I still can't answer that, but I do have good news for those of you that don't want to stay.
I've got enough power now to restore one of your worlds – to save it from what happened to end it. Everyone you know will be fine; they'll remember that there was some sort of disaster, maybe, but they won't remember everything ending. You can go back to what you left behind.
Unfortunately, this is a one-time offer. But if you complete Rule Seven, it can be given to you.
It's something to think about, anyway. Right?
[And from the sound of it, that's going to be all.]

...mostly back to normal. There are a few rooms he's avoiding, but as long as nobody calls him on it, it's fine.
He spends much of the day in the game room, messing around with a deck of cards. Seems he's been playing solitaire for a while. He's got a piece of paper and a pen next to him, but it's blank for the moment.
The other place he can be found - the other place he thinks Mettaton won't be - is the dojo. He's doing various exercises: stretches, push-ups, the works.
In the evening, his door (22), is open, though he isn't seeking out company exactly. It's just an option, if somebody needs it after the announcement. That's what he's there for.]

At least.... she hopes as much.
Anyway, in the morning after breakfast, she can be found tending to her laundry in the second laundry room. After that, Aqua makes her way to the library, where it's easier to think. She's read quite a few of the books, and she's making her way through another stack.
Later on in the day, Aqua decides to make lunch for everyone. It's probably been a while since anyone's had pizza, right? There's quite a selection of different types, and there's even some pre-baked crusts and other toppings just in case someone wants to make their own.
After that, she visits the chemistry lab, where she takes stock of... mostly everything? Someone may have done it, but it never hurts to be too careful.
Finally, she grabs a bite of dinner before heading back to room 15. The door is propped open a crack, and she's still working away at those puzzles... ]

A new and different thing is that she's actually going to be in the arcade, messing around with some of the machines in hopes of vaguely understanding why anyone likes these things (though the shooting ones are her favorite) and settling with playing some skee ball. And really owning it. Her hand-eye is great.
... That said though, there's a lot of time just spent in her room, making hearts with various papers she's glittered up from the art storage. They're all different colors, but there's an odd amount of orange and white ones in a pile.
Which will be stashed under her pillow if
Mettatona Certain Someone comes by.And by the end of the day, possibly well into the night with a few exceptions in timing, Sigrun can be found hard at work in the workshop, working on several projects to "take it easy".
Most of them are the bottoms of small viking longboats. One of them is a cabinet. The last is a strange box shape, but it's got her jacket draped over it, so who the hell knows what that could be. Good luck seeing if she'll show it off too.]

The morning comes, and Speedwagon could be found in the kitchen after breakfast. Washing dishes may not be the most common thing one would expect from a street thug, but then again someone had to do them. Weren't as many to clean now, unlike the earlier weeks...
Whenever that's over, hopefully quickly, Speedwagon's off towards the library. The most familiar and easiest way to pass the time. Won't stop a raised eyebrow and a confused breath as he comes across something a bit more modern in the mix.
.... How about that incentive, eh?
The only good thing about this incentive is that it comes and goes without more bloodshed beforehand. He's going to spend the rest of the day everywhere on the sixth floor. Catching him as he's standing in the hall is the easiest way, seeing as he's looks to be attempting an investigation.
That said, it doesn't look like he's putting all his heart into it either.]

WEDNESDAY
Re: WEDNESDAY
In the morning you may find him in the kitchen, with several recipes Aqua was so kind to give him, and trying to follow all instructions. The kitchen isn't looking too bad, there's a burned lump on a side but what's on the stove right now seems good...although a bit lacking in the flavor department. It seems to be some sort of vegetable dish.
In the afternoon you may find him in the sewing room. He has taken several pieces of fabric and cotton, trying to create something like the teddy bears Black had been making so long ago. He has a book from the library about the topic, and he has progressed half into it. It is not bad for a first attempt, but it would be better if the head of the bear weren't upside-down. Also his fingers are completely covered in bandages by now. Ouch.
Finally, in the evening, he is in the music room, with the flute. His lessons with Sigrun has been going surprisingly smoothly, and he is trying to play simple tunes. It is...not bad! He can keep the rhythm and although there are a few bad notes from time to time, it isn't something bad to listen to. Don't ask him to read music sheets, though, he knows nothing about that]

Satisfied with how it looks, she leaves a note explaining that anyone is allowed to decorate it as they please and goes off to her next stop.
... Which is back to the workshop to finish her other projects, namely the strange boxy one she'd been hiding before. It might be a little familiar to some people, though like with the hearts before she's going to hide it when certain someones come by. This list now includes Cherryblod. Her jacket is so useful.
After a long, hard day though, Sigrun is going to be sitting in the dining room with the puzzles from before, bandages wrapped around her fingers due to some, um, sleep-related accidents. Namely, the lack of sleep.
When she's done with those, she's working on some oddly non-rambunctious song, switching between her flute and her lyre to see which sounds better. No lyrics, and the lyre has some new designs on it. It looks like lines of this painted in a number of different colors.]

It's come to the point where its clear that he can't quite stay up for long periods - throughout the day Bruce is in and out of room 9 to take some needed catnaps to keep himself awake through the day. In-between those catnaps in the day he's usually in the chemistry lab, doing some basic experiments like certain chemical mixtures and reactions mostly to keep himself occupied.
Later in the day - around evening, before dinner - Bruce is found in the music room, sitting at the piano and... playing this, apparently. He just more or less repeats playing that over and over again, occasionally missing or messing up a key, where then he pauses and then restarts.
And finally at nighttime Bruce is in his room again - room 9 - and apparently he just is... sitting on his bed in this pose with his eyes closed. You may or may not have seen it before; he's been doing this pretty often since the dojo was available.]

Later on, he goes around sticking flyers to everybody's doors:]
Dining Hall @ 7:00
Bring your favorite dish!
ALSO: Don't miss the Kingmaker Making contest! Enter for a chance for your work to be featured as our captor's official portrait!
[Once that's done, he retires to the incinerator room for a while to perform some more repairs on the punching yeti. He's brought down some basic first-aid materials from the infirmary as well, just to leave there on the chair in front of the incinerator that no one ever seems to sit in. He's mostly planning on wrapping his hands when he goes to punch things, but having some meds down here doesn't seem like a bad idea in general.]
THURSDAY
Invest...gation?
First things first, one might spot him in the kitchen first thing in the morning- not making breakfast, but instead adding some stock to the crock pot and cutting up veggies- he only cuts his fingers a few times! After that he returns to it again and again through out the day. Apparently someone is gonna try and bring some kind of vegetable stew to the potluck.
When not checking on his food though, Yosuke first heads to the vending machine, and anyone passing by might eventually hear him.... yelling in surprise? Welp, I can't believe Yosuke Hnanamura is dead.
And for the rest of the afternoon after that he is roaming the first and second floor halls, looking at his maps and poking at the walls and looking for oddities like he did with Aqua earlier in the week. He has his orange and red headphones on during the first floor, and switches to Blooky's black ones on the second- but apparently either way he is bopping his head along to music as he works.]
