Week 6.

WEEK 6 The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. Heh, sure thing man.

[He sits on the stage, legs dangling off, plucking at the strings of the guitar- something that sounds a lot like the opening cords of the song Mettaton was playing. Everything past that was much too complicated to pick up in the small bits he had heard.]

Ngh, you got that song stuck in my head...

[...And that does get him to laugh a bit, goodness.]

It plays in the background of some of my shows. So it's supposed to be catchy like that!

[He keeps strumming it out on repeat, the notes changing a bit here and there every time he does- he's trying to do this by ear, okay]

[He'll listen to that for a moment before letting his right hand settle on the keys again, tapping out the melody of it a bit more slowly this time around.

Not too much so, not enough to sound patronizing; just the same, it's a bit easier to catch, especially since he tends to slam his left hand down pretty hard when he's using that one as well. Without it, it's a bit less...ridiculously aggro-sounding.]

[Yosuke grins at that, and follows along with surprising ease now that he's actually listening to the song with this in mind- he's not great at a lot of things. He's not even great at PLAYING music. But damn it, he can *recite* a damn song like a pro. Once it worms it's way in to his head every note, every beat every spoken line never leaves. Even in languages he can't understand (and considering his music collection has a LOT of English in it there's a weird split of him being shitty at English but having almost perfect punctuation) he can parrot it back.

So while he's still not amazing at playing yet, damn if it's not very recognizable very quickly.]

Yeah, this would be the kinda opening song that people would recognize.

Isn't it just! I have a few of them that I like, but this is one of my favorites.

[He shrugs a little.]

Sometimes I come in here late at night to practice things; I've been playing with that thing you showed me early on, actually.

You were right about how it does sound a lot nicer on a full-sized guitar, too. Does it have words to it, or...?

Oh yeah... uh, but singing isn't really my strong point.

[I hope you like your amateur cover of Wonderwall Mettaton- but at least Yosuke can carry a tune well enough even if his voice doesn't have the power to carry the song like it really should be]

That's...really pretty, actually.

[Some of it is sort of nonsensical and what the actual fuck is a wonderwall anyway, but overall the message is nice? He thinks.]

I always kinda wondered if I wasn't getting that cuz it was in English but... guess not. Guess it's just kinda weird.
