Week 6.

WEEK 6 The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, Aqua. Even if that includes licking things no one else will.

I think I would've been more tempted if I wasn't so wary of the burns on featherhead's face. Like, I had no idea what caused them at the time, but I'm not going to lick anything that could potentially kill me like that.

[It was Gross, Aqua. Gross.]

... I mean, even if it'd just make me really sick instead of outright kill me. It's still not good for a leader to be stuck over a bowl.

If you had, I wouldn't have minded making sure you were alright. Taking care of you, that is.

... But that said, I doubt you'll go around licking everything.

Your faith's appreciated, sweetheart, since it seems that most of everyone's got it in their head that I'm the type of person to do that sort of thing.

At the very least, I'm not going to lick something I know is going to hurt me.

I've never doubted that for a second. There's curiosity, and then there's foolishness--and you definitely aren't a fool.

It's a pretty long list.

So pretty much everyone dead and alive then?

You're the type of person who loves everyone around her, I'm not surprised. And I'll agree that... mostly everyone has a good point to them, something I like, but they're still all allies in a company first and foremost.

And then there's a handful of people I'd ask to come home with me. People who I'd consider my companions, basically.

Not quite everyone--I've had my share of surprises, where people I respected turned out to be--

I'd like to see Iceland, some day, since I've been very curious.

It's not as icy as you'd think. I mean, there's plenty of ice around it, especially during the winter, but it's surprisingly not icy because of all the volcanoes it has. Keeps it warm under your feet, so to say.

[... Not exactly, but it's a good way to put it.]

[ And Aqua leans into her, resting her head on Sigrun's shoulder. ]

Volcanoes... somehow, I think they're no match for you.

It sounds like you've seen some very extreme climates, though.

There's nothing back home that's a match for me. That's why I had to come here to meet anyone who could keep up.

But yeah, I guess so. Never really thought much of it since it's across the ocean. In my grand country of Norway it's cold, cold, cold, and winter. Not much of an extreme there.

Maybe you could teach me a few tricks.

[ ... bear with her because this is kind of amazing. There's a whole ocean in Sigrun's world...! Obviously, being the excellent student she is, she's aware of worlds like that but?? ]

Most of the worlds I've been to have been on the smaller side--yours must be enormous.

[There's a whole ocean and a whole world Sigrun herself doesn't even know, so she's just as excited.]

You bet! Probably! I mean, I've heard there were hundreds of nations before the Rash wiped them all out and left us chosen ones alive, but the ocean does stretch on and on and on no matter what way you look out there. It's pretty awesome to be on even if I like the action of land more.

Incredible. It would be something to explore such a vast expanse with you.

I'll gladly take you along! I'm already going to give bombshell the grand tour, so as long as you don't mind him we'll be set for a worldly adventure.
