Week 6.
The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. |

[OOC: Welcome to week six of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

...I didn't think of that.
If there's ever a 'next time' I'll keep that in mind, but chances are I won't try to make one of these ever again. Once was enough.

[He finishes putting on the antiseptic and gives it a moment to dry as he takes out a bag of cotton balls and some medical alcohol.]
no subject
Right. If you and me both get out of this place alive I'll make another teddy bear.
[Said knowing the chances of such thing happening are low. Yeah, Mouri doesn't have high hopes of escaping before a handful more die]
Do you know to sew? It sounded to me like you have experience on that.
no subject
Well, maybe not in a flash, per se, but you know.]
I know the bare basics, but nothing much beyond that. [A smile, and then he holds Mouri's wrist tight before he starts to swipe the alcohol across his fingers.] A lot of it was from trial and error.

[Mouri is really wincing now. Why does minor wounds healing involve shoving liquids onto open wounds so much, god damn it. At this rate he'll get rid of all needles, out of spite]
This week I thought it'd be good if I tried to learn some new skill. I didn't have that many options, so I thought this could be a good option. What a mistake, eh?
no subject
He finishes up disinfecting Mouri's fingers quickly, at least, letting go as he gets some fresh new bandaids.]
I wouldn't call it a mistake. You did learn something from it after all, and learning something new is never a mistake. [He rips open the packaging for the first bandaid and carefully puts it across one of the wounds.] If you're still up for it, I can show you what I know.
no subject
I wouldn't mind that. Better to have some tip from someone who knows what they're doing.
no subject
I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I'd be glad to share my knowledge.
[He finishes up putting the last few bandages and gives Mouri's wrist a light pat.] There we go.
no subject
Please do it. There are enough materials here for any demonstrations, if you need. Just don't ask me to thread your needles.
[Mouri has enough trouble with that already]
no subject
I think I can manage threading needles. [Just give him a moment to... keep everything back into his pockets, Mouri, and then he'll go around to take a couple more things around the room to do his demonstration.]
no subject
Maybe Bruce is feeling better, at least that is what Mouri hopes]
no subject
He returns soon enough with the items in hand, placing them all in a neat row so that Mouri can look at each one of them as he needs to.]
The first thing you need to remember is that you need to give allowance where the materials are going to be threaded together - so when you measure your pieces be sure to make them slightly larger than what you want.
[He demonstrates this by making out the enlarged size on a piece of cloth with some of the marking chalk.]
no subject
[So he was doing everything wrong from the very beginning. Who would have guessed.
At least Bruce is making it easy to understand]
no subject
[If that is of any consolation to Mouri... it probably isn't, huh.]
Just think of it like a pocket - you need some space for the seams so that there won't be any holes for the filling to come out.
