Week 6.

WEEK 6 The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. [Sigrun, you're so mean, he only wants to tease you a little...!

The sound of the lyre draws Cherryblod to the dining room in the evening. He takes a seat in front of her, not attempting to hide his presence but quiet, so that she can finish her song in peace.

He looks a whole lot better than he did before.]

[captainobnoxious]

[No.... he will never tease her again...

Sigrun glances up and smiles a little, letting the notes die out naturally as this round comes to an end.]

Hey there, pinky. How's it going?

Better! It's going better.

[At least he's being honest with her now...?]

How are you?

[captainobnoxious]

[She didn't mind his dishonesty before. Pretty much just the thing she'd turn a blind eye to for a day until things got better.]

I'm great! Mostly! Got a few injuries from working earlier and I'm pretty sure I haven't slept in a day, but I'll be resting up tonight. After this.

[Sigrun has been taking care of herself this whole time, she's allowed her cheat day isn't she?]

Good, good. If you don't sleep I might have to crash in your room instead of Mettaton's sometime just to make sure you get your rest.

[He's being completely serious about this.]

No, no, there's no need for that. If I can't sleep again I'll just... knock myself out or something. I'll eventually pass out if I stare at the ceiling long enough anyway.

I'll hold you to that. Even fearless leaders need to sleep sometime.

Hey, I've been doing better than most people here so far! I'd be more worried about the doctor than me, that guy looks like he hasn't slept all week. Don't you have any tea that could help with that?

I do, but the problem there is getting him to sit down and drink it. I did make him some tea earlier, but...

[It mostly ended up on his jumpsuit.]

He's having a rough time.

Yeah, and I don't know how to fix that outside of just keeping an eye on him to make sure nothing bad happens on my watch.

[And that's hard as is, you know. Can't be everywhere with everyone at once.

... And she likes her private time she's got now, too.]

Don't either. I've tried my best, but I end up making things worse more often than not.

[He comes on too strong, he knows that.]

[They come on too strong together. It's a wonderful thing.]

Some people just need a gentler touch, I guess. Or someone that's a pro at distracting.

... Like bombshell. I'll bet he's already tried his hand at it though, kind heart he is. Though he'd just say it's just what he does.

He's far too kind. Imagine he'd have a better time than me at being a distraction.

[He tried his best, but it didn't go so well.]

[... How to explain it. Maybe an aggressive, if pretty, tune on the flute will do.]

That. We're like that. Speaking of him though, are you two okay now?

[They are indeed an aggressive flute noise.]

Doing much better! Talking things out helped.

Though it was him making me be honest this time, which was strange.

[When is Mettaton the reasonable adult, of the two of them?]

[... Maybe that talk in the infirmary actually helped out. Sigrun grins widely, tapping a rhythm out on the table with a casual shrug.]

He's a strange guy sometimes. But how can you expect him to be honest with you if you're not honest with him first, right? I'm glad everything's fine between you two.

[You did good, Sigrun, he's grateful.]

I'm a bit of a hypocrite, it's true. But at least things worked out.

[That's what she's here for, yup. Doing good things.]

Everyone's a hypocrite when it comes down to it, so don't worry. As long as you keep it in mind you'll be fine.

... It must've been a pain for him to talk though, huh? I'll have to give him something nice as a reward. Maybe something from the swap meet.

He hated doing it, apparently, even though it was his idea. So you should absolutely spoil him.

[Not that he wouldn't encourage that anyway.]

Oh, I will. I've, you know, got that date thing I'm gonna do when I finish a couple more things, and I'll just pet him until he purrs.

Do you think he purrs?

...I don't know, but now I really want him to.

Right? Me too! I'll tell you if he does.

[Oh my god, it'd be so cute. Maybe she can at least ask him to try. And hopefully not feel uncomfortably into it.]

[He is so glad his son has a girlfriend who indulges him like this.]

Not lately, but I'm aware it's a constant, unspoken agreement among you all.
