WEEK 6 The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. Mmmhm.

[He relaxes his head against the pillow, still feeling a little jittery, but slowly starting to relax. He's sure Black needs to sleep, and if it would assure that he'd have been happy to stay. But... yeah, he doesn't wanna answer any questions either. He's not sure he won't say something REALLY stupid if he's pressed.]

[ He'll rest easy until they hear Sigrun coming and then he has to pretend he wasn't laying in close quarters with his crush— ]

You're really nice, Yosuke. [ He's only ever joking about Yosuke being a douche; he's a stupid teenager with really strong morals sometimes, but he's never deliberately mean or a jerk. ] I'm glad I got to meet you, even if it's under really shit circumstances. Is that weird to say?

[ ...also three guesses as to who he picked up the bad language from and the first two guesses don't count you fucking teenager. ]

[he squirms a little, nuzzling into the pillow as if hiding. But all he manages to really do is make his hair stick up in wild angles. Yosuke will never get used to such casual compliments]

[ Black opens his eyes to watch, giggling softly. Is that his bedhead? It's totally adorable. And silly looking. ]

Yeah? What's the weirdest thing?

[ There's probably a lot of them, thinking on it, but like, the absolute weirdest. ]

Hmmm... probably you saying 'shit' just now.

[What, you think he hasn't noticed the enhanced vocabulary?]

[ His nose scrunches—Sigrun pointed it out too, before. ]

Miss Sigrun's probably going to talk to you about ruining my manners. [ That'd be the only reason she'd ask about it. After a moment, he grins at Yosuke and whispers like, super conspiratorially: ] Fuck.

[ .....this is the scotch and the general stupid of everything hitting him, thanks for asking. ]

Sorry man, he bursts out laughing into the pillow]

[ Yosuke's usually the one doing the swatting, but tonight! Tonight, it's Black's turn. ]

You're such a dick. [ How's THAT taste, huh. ] I'm taking back what I said about you being really nice, you're not, you're a— [ c'mon black u can do it ] big jerk. [ nvm ]

[Sorry he's laughing even HARDER now, just eating up the swats]

Ah man, you had a good roll going there!

Sorry we can't all be crude loudmouths like you, Yosuke.

[ He's—oh, yes, very good idea, he's going to shove Yosuke out of his bed. Naughty children get kicked out of comfy places and onto less comfy places. ]

You're not allowed back up here until you apologize.

[ Flawless idea that is in no way childish. He's sitting up too, back against his wall, fairly tired but fairly not about to cry. There are little blessings in this world, and Yosuke Hanamura's 50-50 chance of cheering people up is one of them. ]

[Yosuke squawks as he flops right off the bed, and after fumbling around ends up peeking over the edge. The biggest brownest puppy dog eyes right here]

Come ooooon, you're the one that defiled my innocent young ears!

You're 18, Yosuke, nothing about you is innocent. [ He was your age once remember! ...granted he didn't have time for that but anyway-- ] And you're the one who swears all the time, anyway. I bet you couldn't go one day without it.

[garudynamic]

[This look, this look he's giving here? Proves Black's point 100%. Sly and just flirty enough, and thankfully short lived]

I could if I wanted to.

[penduli]

[ Very thankfully short-lived, christ. ]

You definitely couldn't.

I could! You wanna bet on it?

[ Black is not a betting man.

...but he is reasonably sure he can win this one. ]

Hmmm... how about the winner gets one request? Nothing super crazy of course-

[not like either of them would ask for like, murder or something]

-but as long as no one gets hurt they have to do it.

[ There's no possible way that this can go wrong at all, ever. ]

Sounds good to me. Lucky for you, I'm not that good of thinking up stuff like that, so you won't have to do anything too embarrassing when I win.

Heh, well you won't be so lucky!

[Honestly he wouldn't be able to put Black through too much]

We'll do it on.... Thursday. [There's usually some kinda get together on Thursday after all. But more so-

[ Is that his life insurance? That only works if no one has it out for either of them this week--

[he scrambles back up, pleased with himself, and sits next to Black]

... I know it's kinda dumb. But it'll make me feel better. [He knows he has no right to feel nervous anyways. Black is the one that just went through trauma, not him. But he's selfish at his core]

It's not dumb, it's surprisingly thoughtful.

[ Black's... going to chance leaning against Yosuke. It'd be shoulder-to-shoulder, but someone has to have a significant amount of height on him. ]

...or not so surprisingly, really. I'm touched.

[garudynamic]

[he doesn't mind it- he's used to his friends all being meatier then him. Damn scrawny ass]

Not that... it'd stop anyone else. But still.

It'd probably stop a lot more people than you think. [ Very gently... inching his hand to put over Yosuke's... it's a little more nervewracking than it should be. ]

People don't typically go doing anything to rash if they have something to look forward to. [ And Yosuke's definitely that—for him, anyway. For other people? ...maybe the idea of not losing to an 18 year old could work. ] You and Mr. Cherryblod should have a little more faith in how much people think of you.

[ ...Black is so good at turning situations around on people, welcome to being comforted by the person you were trying to comfort. ]

[He notices, and can't help finding it a little funny- but he won't deny he needs it. To the point he'll turn his hand under Black's, so they are palm to palm. He's gone to far to care by now, and damn it there's so few things in this hellhole he can enjoy]

You noticed that with Cherryblod too, huh?

[Nevermind himself. Dad is worrying himself to literal death]
