trusthell | Week 6.

WEEK 6
The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people.

It's been a bad week.

However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not...

Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it.

A few games you probably don't know. Apparently Red Frog Black Frog isn't as common as it is back home.

Never heard of it.

All types of poker, blackjack, I've played go fish with my nephew before too.

Not feeling blackjack as much as I used to.

[He played it with Misa for secrets - that's how she found out first.]

You want to deal or should I? And are we playing for anything? [ He doesn't care either way for both questions, it would honestly just be nice to play a game.

Sure, then at least it has some use.

I don't have all that I have memorized, unfortunately.

[He's gotten waaaay too much stuff for that.]

We'll just keep count of the score and deal with the specifics later.

[ He nods.] Don't suppose you're going to tell me you were also a poker champion while in the mob?

[ Two votes it is!]

Wouldn't that be nice? Played a little here and there, but I wasn't a champion or anything.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were. [ A beat.]

Since you're being so open about it: what exactly did you do in the mob?

I was an enforcer. If the mob needed somebody beaten up, I did that. If they needed somebody killed, I did that.

...They called me 'Cherryblood', which sounds a bit too edgy in retrospect.
