Week 6.
The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[TAKE OUT ALL YOUR STUFF, GUYS.]

...we should think about having a communal place for all the writing stuff too. In case something ends up... erm... misplaced.
['In case someone dies and we can't get at their room or their hiding places anymore'
But he's not gonna outright say that]

He gives a nod.]
I'll look into it. [First it means thinking of a good place to keep all of this in the first place. Presumably somewhere the Kingmaker won't think of even though he has bloody cameras all over the place of whatever he uses to survey them.
(Bruce isn't so foolish to think that they aren't being watched, after all.)]

... in Sigrun's professional opinion, anyway, though she'll move the notebook to a more central position for everyone's convenience.]
Have at it, then. I was kind of thinking we could add things in it and see if they appear the next day.
[None of this investigative stuff.]
no subject
[How did you even come to that logic, Sigrun...]
no subject
Why not? Like, if it's a list of everything in there, like... so he doesn't forget or something. If it's the Kingmaker's grocery list.
[that's how]
no subject
I highly doubt that its a grocery list.
[More like some... checklist, if anything, judging from what he can glance.]
no subject
I suppose this will help. It's a sight more readable then some of the thing's we've found.
[He produces the locket and that note, setting them on the table. Yes, he's carrying them around in his jacket at all times.
...is there a better place to keep it?]
Mini investigation time!
Thank you.
[And now Bruce will compare the handwriting in the locket note to the handwriting in the kitchen notebook. Do they match, or are they both completely different?]

[He sighs and passes the locket note back to Speedwagon for now; once he actually has an idea of what to do with everything they've found then he'll ask Speedwagon for it properly.
He glances over to the rest of the group after that.]
Anybody else have something that we can compare?

[Stan hands over the Trebuchets for Dummies book, with its inscription in the front.]
no subject
I... do.
[ Give him a second to look through his notebook and... pull out some music scores. They're by some generic Johann fellow, because that's what all composers are named right, but the important things are the two sentences at the top of the sheet.
They're pretty faint, but they say YOU'RE NOT ALONE HERE and YOU'RE BEING WATCHED.]
Sorry for holding out, they just didn't seem very important.
more investigation here
...he'll speak after he's done comparing all of these. Between the music notes, the book inscription and the kitchen notebook, do any of them contain the same handwriting?]
somehow i did not see this
The kitchen notebook is not.]
s'cool!
Bruce singles out the music and the book, pointing to the writing that's on them.]
These two seem to have been written by the same hand.
no subject
[She's disinclined to say it aloud, seeing as the Kingmaker sees and knows all or whatever, so she'll whisper it instead.]
Does this mean that we have allies we don't know about? That we can't see or something? Because that's pretty cool, if... well, I can't even say I can't believe it at this point. Ghosts?
no subject
...what made you jump to that conclusion.
[Suddenly ghosts what even.]
no subject
[and she knows a ghost it's been on her mind alright]
I mean, they're usually either harmless or pissed off, but still. And can you really ask me that when we've had vampires, mermaids, and gods in our company?
no subject
Ghosts.
What even.]
It's still a bit of a stretch to assume that; all the supernatural things we had so far more or less come from their own worlds, not this one.
[And this world hasn't really... done anything too supernatural yet to them, so.]
no subject
no subject
Besides that. But the bodies there are corporeal, as far as we can tell.
no subject
[Just sayin', doc.]
Is it the same as the locket's note? Let's go three for three, since my boring book was useless.
more investigation ahoy
[And the notes are what they're discussing now, so.
He gives a nod to Sigrun's suggestion, then takes the music notes and compares them to the locket note. Is the handwriting there the same?]
