Week 6.

WEEK 6

The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people.

It's been a bad week.

However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not...

Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it.

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 14

amygdalae: (nice guy really)

Have you managed to find anything so far?

[They're probably going to share it at the next meeting, true, but if he knows earlier maybe he can look into it himself...]
isafraid: (Hat trick)

[He stuffs his hands into his jacket pockets, one of the ways Speedwagon showed his attempts to really get into this investigation.]

It's hard to say. Mind you, this is all just cursory looks and such. [He gives his neck a sheepish rub.] So there isn't much yet.
amygdalae: (negative spaces)

[Bruce nods to show that he's heard Speedwagon, giving him a smile of reassurance.]

Of course. I do hope something will turn up, however.

[A little something good to counteract all the terrible stuff that's been happening.]

As do I... [A little reassurance can go a long way. Maybe he can find something around here after all.]

Now then, seems like you're right at home in here. Am I right?

[Because doctor + infirmary = good]

amygdalae: the alternative is getting angry (this is me trying to be nice)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-11 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[A small sound of amusement.]

A little. I still feel more at ease in the lab - but this place is rather good too.

[He is a scientist first and foremost, after all.]
isafraid: (How'd this even work)

[personal profile] isafraid 2016-04-12 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
Well, at least we need not worry about any potentially dangerous wounds then? Some things a first aid kit can't fix on their own.

[Like death, for instance.]
amygdalae: dun dun DUUUUN (we're not a team; we're a timebomb)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-12 11:43 am (UTC)(link)
If we can find the injured party in time to fix them, hopefully.

[...although their track record certainly hasn't been the best.]
isafraid: (allow me to elucidate ya)

[They just haven't started on the saving lives bit. It's totally null right now.]

Finding someone in need of help and managing to save them would be the luckiest we've ever been!

[...His eyes turn to one side of the room, then the other.]

Granted... I'm sure it's easier in your time then with the medicine in mine.

amygdalae: I just choose not to say them (I have a lot of words)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-14 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be great if that could happen.

[It would be really, really great... honestly.]

And it would be easier, yes, but its not as if I can perform any miracles myself. [If the person is too far gone no amount of help will be able to fix the damage.]

Oh! Well that's to be expected. [Look he's from the time when they're just easing themselves off of leech treatment. He gets it, man.]

Glad we have a doctor on our hands, at the very least!
amygdalae: I wish things could go your way (is that what you think?)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-17 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[Somehow its the last part that gets a reaction out from Bruce more than anything else; he quirks a wry smile and glances down for a moment.]

I just do my best. [...] And I'm glad my knowledge has been able to help, wherever it counts.
