Week 6.
The number of Survivors left is dropping at a quick pace; the King got what he wanted, for better or for worse; Tarrlok and Lynne were victims of both fate and some sort of magic that most in the Vault still don't quite understand, and Misa Amane has been executed, not for her particular brand of "justice", but for murdering two innocent people. It's been a bad week. However, Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible sixth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week six of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!

[Don't throw such truths to his face, Sigrun, it hurts him.
Mouri approaches to take a better look at the object]
And is this one of those instruments? It looks like a calculator to me.
no subject
Noooo, this is... just a...
[uh]
A personal project. You could say. And keep a secret.

[Working on the finer details is... really relaxing, too. So. This is fine.]
It's a gift for someone. An unnecessary gift. They're going to love it. Maybe. They like unnecessary things like this, anyway, and since it'll be from me they can't hate it. I just need to finish it before... I don't know, tomorrow? Or the day after. Before they die.
no subject
[It is his immediate first theory, at least. A gift for the boyfriend]
He doesn't seem to me like he'll ever die. He is a robot and he says he is prepared for fighting. Whoever attacks him will get kicked into submission.
[He is putting a lot of stock onto Sigrun's promise Mettaton would be fine in her world. If she says he will be okay then Mouri is willing to believe that]
no subject
Yeah, well, that bag of bolts is pretty something else! And he can die. It just takes beating him with a stick long enough, probably, just like with any machine. Doesn't mean you should to it though.
no subject
Monsters are strange. Apparently if you hit them it is the same than if you hit their soul. Mettaton-kun is the only one who is different.
I have no idea how they have managed to survive back in his world.
[Bless our fleshy bodies, humanity]
no subject
Well, they generally don't kill each other back where he's from. Unlike the oldworlders. And I'm sure it's different between monsters, anyway, it's just that if a human hits them... it gets messier.
no subject
At least that is what I deduced. He said I was in the right track but it seems I'm missing something about his true nature.
[A stellar moment in his stay in the Vault was to accurately deduce Mettaton was not always a robot. Not that it was too hard, tinman wasn't exactly being cagey about that]
no subject
[It's so obvious she knows.]
no subject
...maybe Mettaton isn't even his real name.
[Mouri is a bit annoyed Sigrun has the answers and he doesn't. It is understandable she would, at least]
no subject
... Though she doesn't know if Mettaton's his real name or not. It's something to ask him, maybe, see if he'll answer her that too.]
Maybe, maybe not. Who can say? And it's a pretty good reason, yeah, you wouldn't be wrong in that he wouldn't be half as popular if he hadn't taken another form... It's just not the reason for it. Not that I can tell you anyway, I'm taking it to my grave.
[Whether that's sooner or later who knows.]
no subject
[Somebody has regained his confidence, at least!]
I just need to think for a while longer. I'll find out!
no subject
[With a pointed flick of her wrist to boot, carving off a piece of the wood so casually.]
Understood, detective?
no subject
[Golly, Sigrun, what was that]
You make it sound like there's something really bad about Mettaton-kun.
no subject
Nothing bad. In fact, it's pretty cute honestly, I'd still date him even if he was still in his first form and acted the way he did now. I just figure we should both be sworn to carry it to our graves.
no subject
[If anything Mettaton would be proud of any form, in Mouri's opinion. That robot is 90% made of ego]
no subject
It's just not something a star like him would like his adoring public to know, I'll say that much. So I'm safely guarding it.
no subject
[Sudden theories are formed. Declaration time! With the usual loud voice he uses to proclaim the deductions he is particularly sure of, of course]
I see! He wanted to leave his former life behind!
There must have been something in his life he was unsatisfied with! Somehow he wouldn't be able to achieve fame and adoration if he wasn't the person he is now.
It could be something he did, or something about his family, or...no wait, he had mentioned cousins! And growing in Waterfall...
[Yeah, Sigrun, he isn't talking to you now. It almost seems like he forgot he was having a conversation, instead pacing around and muttering to himself like a madman]
no subject
... This isn't counted as breaking her promise to Mettaton, right? She didn't tell the detective anything important. He just put things together.]
Well, I won't tell you if you're right or not, 'cause it's not my place... but go ahead and tell him your theory next time you see him. He'll let you know if you're right or not.
[If Sigrun could learn to harness this power of Mouri's, then they could get through things a lot quicker. Guess it's time to learn to train dogs.]
no subject
I will!
Somehow Mettaton-kun was a mystery I wanted to solve. I don't know what he has that made him be so interesting to ponder. He really knows how to intrigue people. That is how celebrities work, I guess!
[Technically Mouri is a celebrity too but it isn't like he causes such intrigue in anybody]
no subject
Yeah, he's just like that, star status aside.
[Suuuuch fondness in her voice, though Sigrun's shrugging lightly. Being a celebrity really doesn't matter than much to her.]
He's pretty much the most interesting person here to me, and no matter how much I learn about him that won't change.
no subject
He talks the same way about you. You really are a good pair. Enough to make me jealous, at least.
no subject
-- Oh, well, o-of course he does! [does this reaction seem familiar] I mean, why wouldn't he? That's just a thing people who date do! They talk about each other! And stuff.
[Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight she's gonna work on this "wheel" portion.]
no subject
Eide-san...
Are you flustered?
[Since when could Sigrun Eide be flustered?!]
