The closest thing I am able to compare Mettaton to would be any of the mechanical Pokemon such as Klinklang or my Magneton, though they have just naturally existed the way they are rather than being built.

But I still think it is a rather fitting comparison...since while Mettaton's body might have been created by someone, he seems to be much more than just plain programming.
