Take Responsibility.

And once the allotted time for investigating comes to a close, those elevator doors at the end of the first-floor corridor open up; the ride down is fast, smooth, and understandably tense as far as atmosphere goes.

You're down to less than half of your original number.

The doors slide open and the podium circle comes into view, standing stark against the black-walled courtroom and encircling that pit in the center; Misa and Aqua have joined the ranks of the deceased, photographs in greyscale watching the proceedings from their podiums draped in black.

Of course and as always, the deceased aren't the only ones watching; the Kingmaker will make his presence known once everyone has settled at their podium, his voice sounding out through the room for all to hear.

"Resilient has been taken from you. Maybe this time the guilty party will actually succeed at fulfilling Rule Seven, seeing as this is the sixth try and all. Whether they manage it is up to the rest of you."

Thirteen Survivors remain. However many will be down by the end of the day is up to you.

Yeah. And generally, the more things you stick people with, the harder it is to tell what the weapon was. We should really bring the body to these kind of things.

[.....ew]

Maybe the murder weapon isn't the important part to solving this.

There's too many to count, so maybe... But it'd definitely be nicer if we knew which one she died by. I don't really want to put this thing back in the workshop if it's got her blood on it, you know?

... I mean, even if it wasn't the murder weapon, if they wanted to hide which was the real one I guess they could've just put some on it and called it a day, since it was pretty much in plain sight, but still.

It is rather concerning the culprit was so cold-blooded they went to create so many red herrings just after killing her.

It is likely this was all planned carefully.

Maybe we should focus on the objects used to create the false weapons. Those vibrators...not everyone had them, right? If I remember right, some time ago there was this box where people were invited to leave theirs in there.

The problem with that is that anyone could have gotten more even if they'd dumped all of theirs in the box then. We don't know.
goodforsomething: (⛵ yeah whatever)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-04-09 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Anybody could've taken one out, even. I didn't spend that whole time guardin' the vibrator box.

There weren't that many in there when I took it back. Two or three.

You may as well argue for why someone had a vibrator out of their room to begin with.

Not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think "fake murder weapon."
cherryblooded: (sweat / um)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-04-09 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Not exactly. Doesn't really fit with the 'regretted leaving her in that state, so he cleaned her up, dressed her up nice and posed her' theory, if he wants us to think he might have killed her with a vibrator.
