[Every week was bad, but this one? This one most likely has hit them all the hardest.

All well, almost all of them. Bruce certainly can't speak for everyone here... not that there's a lot of them left now.

Anyway.

Working with Speedwagon in the kitchen the two of them whip up a decent, simple fare of food just so that their stomachs won't go empty - Bruce knows that a lot of them won't have much of an appetite at all after what happened, and he can't blame them. He doesn't have much of one himself even after the food is done.

Once everything is set up in the dining hall a couple of hours later after everything that happened downstairs Bruce goes around to slip a notice to every body's room. (Everyone that is still alive, that is.)]

I know what happened was hard to take in. I feel the same as well.
If you wish to be alone I understand, but if you need company, or somebody to talk to... there is food in the dining hall made by Speedwagon and I.

[For Sigrun and Cherryblod respectively, he'll have the note along with a plate of some food from the gathering by their door.

As mentioned earlier, there's a small fare of simple, light food and snacks for everyone to eat if they have the stomach for it. For better or for worse there's alcohol too, although Bruce certainly isn't going anywhere near it. But if anybody needs that drink after what happened, he can't blame them for the need for it, either.]

Not that many. She broke more hearts, I think. [ A thoughtful hum while he gently pulls her down the hall and the stairs... ] She called me a heartbreaker once though. Can you imagine?

I can. You're a good looking young man who's got a kind heart. I'll bet all the girls loved your sweetness too, or your manner, or how you give people your undivided attention...

[Heheh.]

Let's get you to your room, Miss Sigrun, you must be really tired.

[She got called mom................ She'll follow, but she's certainly thankful he can't see the strange look that passes over her face for a moment.]

... Sounds like you're just as tired, kitten. Don't stay up too late.

[penduli]

[ Never bring it up and we'll be golden, Sigrun. ]

I... will think about not staying up late. I was going to hang out in the library for a little bit. [ Books. Y'know. ] It'd be a good way to wind down this week.

[captainobnoxious]

[She's telling someone when she's in the mood.]

[... She'd usually play her lyre to wind down.

Or hang out with Mettaton.

Her hold grows tighter and she hums softly.]

I guess I'll just try to sleep, maybe.

I have a toy you might like if you don't mind stopping by my room first. You could play with it until you get tired. [ ... ] If that's okay?

... Well, I've got a ton of toys too, but I won't mind adding another to my collection. Sure. Let's go.

[All the caterpillars she could ever ask for.

[ He was gonna give her a caterpillar, actually— ]

Yeah?

[Her mouth pops open

and then closes without a sound. She couldn't ask that of him. She has to be strong, after all, and with the lights off... she wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.]

... Thank you, really.

[penduli]

[ Black hesitates, glancing at her, but nods; it's a very quick stop in his room to grab the caterpillar-kun he'd been keeping for himself before they're taking the long(er) route to hers.

...here, have the toy. ]

You're someone I really admire, Miss Sigrun. [ He's being very honest tonight, a slight tremor in his voice. ] I don't mind hearing you out whenever you need someone, or anything like that.

[captainobnoxious]

[The toy is one she loves, but-- she can't bring herself to do much more but smile at it.

... It's a little more real when she hears Black's words though, and she squeezes his hand before unlocking her door.]

I'll remember that, honey. Promise. Can I ask something of you now?

[penduli]

[ Don't be anything too embarrassing— ]

Of course. What's up?

[captainobnoxious]

Please don't hate him.

[Mettaton, that is.]

[ Black stares for a moment, mouth open like he wants to say something

but it closes, and he slides his hands into his pockets, not looking at her. ]

Sure.

[captainobnoxious]

[... It was something big to ask of him, and she leans down to kiss the top of his head.]

But even if you can't do that... just know that he was hurting too. Okay?

[She didn't last this long being his friend, girlfriend, whatever this long without learning how to read him.]

It was a job. He wouldn't have killed anyone if it hadn't been for that.

[penduli]

[ ...of course he was hurting, he seemed to really like Cherryblod and Sigrun, but he did it anyway—

it's not a sentiment he can't share, though. He's really liked a lot of people here, but every week he had still carried "I need to live for White" with him. It's not exactly the same, but... ]

If you think so, Miss Sigrun, I'll believe you. [ ...she has her wooden boyfriend but he's still going to carefully hug her. ] I hope you can get to sleep. If you need anything, you know where to find me.

I know, I know. Don't worry over me too much, I've had my lion's share of loss in my life, this'll pass too.

[At some point. A small return of his hug before she goes into her room, waving her goodnight and shutting the door.

... Time to figure out how to sleep.]
