Take Responsibility.
The allotted time for investigating comes to an end, and those elevator doors slide open at the end of the first-floor corridor; it's a bit of a walk down from the fifth floor, but at least the ride down is swift and smooth. To say nothing of spacious. Your numbers are running low. The podium circle, as always, stands out against the black-walled courtroom where it's encircling that pit in the center; Mettaton and Shirazu have joined the ranks of the deceased, photographs in greyscale watching the proceedings from their podiums draped in black. The Kingmaker, too, is watching all of you; as always, it isn't until everyone has settled at their podium that he speaks, his voice sounding out through the room for all to hear. "Sacrificial has been taken from you. Maybe this time the guilty party is going to actually succeed at Rule Seven - but of course, whether they manage it is still up to the rest of you." Eleven Survivors remain. How many are still standing by the end of the day is up to you. |

So you're looking for... a scientist or someone who commonly uses bombs, I suppose?

At least our numbers being thinned makes this easier. Can't say how many people had the know how before, but I know there's at least a few here who fit that description.
[Not that she really believes Bruce would do it, actually. Colress either.]

[Because, uh.
Because she'll open her jacket to show him some of the throwing knives she's got sewn in there.]

Aiden, Bruce, Colress, could you all tell us where you were last night to this morning?

I did some patrolling on the lower levels right after nighttime, but it wasn't for long and once it was pretty late I spent the rest of the night in my room.
[OF COURSE LAST TIME KING COULD CONFIRM THIS BUT... RIP King. RIP indeed.]

Noted.

[He sounds very offended. Clearly.]
As for my location, I... [There is the briefest pause here.] retired to my room after Cherryblod and Beheeyem's small sparring match, where I remained for the night.

...And I'm even more sorry about this, because apparently this is just the week I'm mean to your Pokemon.
We have here an electronic that doesn't seem to have any methods of controlling it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but buttons and such are just ways of completing circuits to start electrical currents, aren't they?
Wouldn't a Pokemon like yours be able to start that current without a button?

I see where you're going with this.
I will not deny that Klinklang is capable of expelling electricity. However, I'm afraid I am not familiar with that particular electronic.

[... Because she's spent enough time in this damn vault with them. They're all practically her very own company here.
The pause is also noted. But she knows how tiring sparring matches can be, so she'll... let someone else take that.]

[That and he doesn't like being threatened.]

[There's not a lot he can say to either Bruce's or Aiden's testimony.]

Looking at it the other way around, it could also be somebody who did this deliberately to shift the suspicion.
[After all, making this does require some rather specific skillsets.]

Sorry.

[It's not like this will affect him in anyway.]
