WEEK 1
As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you.

Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

[The weight of Mouri's screw-ups sure is heavy]

I already solved every space I could. Now I'm just going for the rest.

[This is curiously pretty symbolic of Mouri's usual style. Get to the half-point and then have to rely on somebody else to finish the job. Very rarely Mouri would be able to get to the end goal]

I see. [He doesn't know the symbolism behind that (at least, not now), but hey, as long as you tried. Bruce can't exactly fault him much.

But crossword aside...]

How are you feeling today? [Considering--you know, what happened yesterday.]

I am fine. There hasn't been any progress at all and the Kingmaker continues being as unhelpful as always, but that is fine. We can't all be stuck in here for the rest of our lives, something good or useful should happen at some point.

Besides I already talked with Tinman. I doubt we'll ever be chums but at least it seems we'll be okay!

[Seems like Mouri is avoiding mentioning the events of the meeting yesterday and omits a couple details about talking with Mettaton, but overall he is being honest]

Yeah, Bruce isn't going to say anything about that. He's not going to pry as long as things seem alright. He values privacy quite a lot, after all.]

As long as the both of you are in agreement. [No in-fighting, please. Bruce doesn't like conflicts.] ...but next time, try to think things through before you go randomly accusing people.

[Please don't make it a habit.]

[Hope you don't expect an apology for derailing your well intentioned meeting with his accusations, Bruce! Because yeah, he doesn't really realize the faux pas beyond 'maybe I should think it better next time'.

Mouri sighs]

I'll have to keep that in mind. Yesterday didn't go very well.

[Bruce never expects an apology from anybody unless they're really asking for it.

It takes a lot for him to think that they're asking for it, generally.]

We were all wound up from the Kingmaker, so its understandable. But remember that causing friction between us won't make things any better either.

I know! That's why I already talked to that robot. We talked, she told me about Alphys-san - for a creation he sure isn't afraid of talking about her in not-so flattering terms - and overall I see it's possible I was wrong.

[Staying silent about his real thoughts about the matter]

Then it all went back to ridiculousness when he refused to take seriously the problem of the knives in plain sight. He even suggested to give weapons to everyone!

[Bruce was totally about to say something when then--

Pardon?

[What.]

[Yeah, that was mostly his mental reaction too, coupled with 'are you making fun of me?']

His words, not mine. He said everyone would have a fighting chance that way.

Other than that he was...alright. Disdainful towards those who were suggesting to eat your Majesty and Shrimp, but that is a view I definitely share.

I'm sure he was only suggesting it out of good intentions. [YEAH DON'T... DWELL TOO MUCH ON IT, MOURI.] He does seem quite alright, overall.

Good intentions or not that is definitely not the way to deal with the weapons problem. I just hope he understands that because the last we all need right now is to give everyone a knife for pretty much no reason at all.

If there's a fight then it'd be better if a nonfatal technique is used, that's what I think. Knives don't help with that.

Its not the ideal way, yes-- [Yes, he agrees, giving knives to people is not the best course of action] --but its not unreasonable to see where it comes from.

[Even if it is rather far fetched.]

As long as you explain it rationally, I know he will come to understand your own reasoning as well.

You would have a better chance to get him to understand, you get along with him much better than I do.

[Delegate the difficult tasks to someone else, why not. It isn't like he is going to pester Bruce to know if he truly did it]

...well, if the subject does come up between us, I'll do my best.

[It's not that hard, Morui... but he supposes considering what happened, it might be for the best.]
