WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

I don't see a lot of my family either. I got a nephew about twelve hours away, and his kids - Dipper and Mabel. I was supposed to be watchin' them, before all this crap.

Mabel's the one with the awesome taste, right?

[He remembers Mabel, he likes Mabel.]

Do you just not get along with most of your family, or is it more a matter of distance...?

Yeah, that's her. She's a real firecracker, that one.

[Stan smiles fondly, but it fades a bit at the next question.]

Eh...kinda both, I guess? [He shrugs.] I was never too close to my sister, so I didn't see my nephew much when he was growin' up. He found me himself when he was older, started writin' letters and things. I was kinda surprised when he sent his kids up, to be honest.

Guess he wanted them to have a chance to get to know their family.

Oh, no, I get it - I don't really get along with mine, either. They're still family, but we're not all that close; we wanted different things for ourselves, in my case.

[So he's actually not really going to pry further into the whole sister thing, because family's kinda...]

Tell me about the kids, though! I'm curious.

Sure! They're good kids. Twins - not identical, obviously, but they look real darn similar. They're real close, too...

Mabel's a real social butterfly. She hasn't been in town two months, and she's made friends with everyone and adopted a pig. Natural salesperson! Crafty too, she's always knitting or scrapbooking or something.

Dipper's her brother. He's more the nerdy type - books, conspiracy theories, things like that. The two of them are always gettin' into something.

...They sound wonderful.

[And there's none of the usual over-the-top energy when he says it; judging from that alone, they actually do.]

I'd like to meet them sometime, once we're out of here.

[Because obviously, the Kingmaker is absolutely full of it about this entire situation.]

Yeah, we'll have to set that up sometime.

[Stan smiles, more genuine than his usual brash grins.] I already told ya about Mabel, but I'm sure Dipper'd be thrilled to see a real-life magic robot. That's like, all the nerd stuff he could ever ask for all smashed together.

I like spending time with people like that, actually! My creator is like that, too - not so much conspiracy theories, but books and robots and things like that.

Yeah, she must be smart as hell. There's not a lotta people who could build something like you, where I'm from.

There aren't a lot who could where I'm from, either. She received a massive promotion after creating me for a reason, after all!
