WEEK 1.
As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
There are also two new posts for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

[He watches Mettaton as he enters, noting his movements as well as the pet name. The latter likewise goes unmentioned as Colress doesn't really mind- his attention is on other things, anyway. There's a definite glint of excited curiosity in his eyes.]
It is good to finally meet you properly. I must admit, I've been curious about you since I saw your profile.
[Misa's crossword puzzle was the tipping point. Still, the profile picture didn't do Mettaton any justice, though. This is just amazing!]

[...Welcome to Egopolis.]
Is there anything in particular you wanted to know about? I always welcome questions.
no subject
There is, actually! Would you mind telling me a bit about yourself? As in, your functions, how you were built...
[Robot Things, in other words.]

[.......................
this is going to end up being another conversation with a scientist that ends in HE'S DUMB, JIM, isn't it]
Well, I can't really answer very much about how I was built, because I obviously wasn't the one to do it! I never really cared too much about how my bodies were created, so long as they were! After all, what matters is that they're both useful and photogenic, and my creator absolutely knocked it out of the park on both parts there!
As for function - I was built to entertain people, darling, so that's primarily what I do. I have a great singing voice, and I've studied acting and dancing as well, of course - there's no sense in doing anything halfway! What else... I have working knowledge of media and pop culture, but that's more through study than anything I was specifically built to do? I'm also really bendy. And obviously I was built to be gorgeous, but that goes without saying.
Otherwise, I can also do complex calculations at rapid speed, I can interpret and process visual information far more quickly than a normal person, my previous physical form was utterly invulnerable to attack, and I have certain combat capabilities built-in, both magical and otherwise. But those are all secondary features.
[...Well, he is going to continue feeling great about his existence but you are possibly going to feel decidedly not-great about his complete inability to actually have a single complex thought in his pretty empty head before too long, uh.]

...There are valuable pieces of information between the rambling on about entertainment and pop culture nonsense, he's sure of it.
When Mettaton finally stops for the time being, he quickly fumbles for a follow-up question, but where does he even begin with this?
Ah!]
My, you are quite thorough! There is quite a lot there, but I have to say, you caught me off guard with this- Did you imply that you had a different form outside of your robot body?
no subject
[...He says, because that makes sense.]
no subject
[MAKES SENSE TO HIM...but probably for the wrong reasons.]
no subject
[...Dear god.]
The previous one was actually larger than this one, just due to the shape of it.
no subject
[Sort of. There's still a piece of this puzzle that is eluding him but he has something else to point out first.]
It's still evolution in a way though, is it not? You upgraded to something more fitting and, I'm assuming, more efficient. I'd say that's quite special.

[The attractiveness of a robot means nothing to him though, unfortunately... He won't say it out loud, of course.]
You said that your previous form was practically invulnerable, though. Is there a reason why that did not transfer to this form? That is a large advantage that you gave up.
no subject
[And he does acknowledge that it is, though he doesn't sound like he regrets it any.]
My previous form was...well, it was useful, and it served its purpose while I had it. But it wasn't what I wanted. It didn't feel like me - it wasn't something that I could really identify with or want full-time. This is a lot closer to what I wanted, and it's worth the lowered defenses.
no subject
He does come back with a smile, at least.]
I appreciate your honesty. It is a reminder that priorities are subjective. It takes quite a lot of dedication to give up something big for what you truly desire.
no subject
[He doesn't sound like he thinks it's a bad thing, mind; it's not an argument. Just not really something he's considered as good or bad previously.]
no subject
[Judging things based on good or bad has never really been his thing.]
no subject
[Sort of, anyway. Validate his life choices. Just do it.]
So is there anything else you're curious about, gorgeous? We've got all night.
no subject
That said, he actually can think of something else he's curious about if he can't exactly get more details on Mettaton's actual mechanics...]
How are you handling the situation right now? You said that you're an entertainer...is it difficult to be away from your usual audience?
no subject
[And that's prompt, with no hesitation whatsoever behind it.]
All of my fans, my viewers, the staff I work with - they're all important to me, I know and remember all of them. I owe them that much! And I'm used to having such a busy schedule besides...
It's hard to be away from all that. Both the spotlight and the people.
no subject
[Like...hopefully Mettaton has enough to work with here. Colress has no idea exactly how much it all entails.]
