WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you.

Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

There are also two new posts for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

Of course he will. It's the only way he can come to this place to leave the coins in the bedrooms. There's no other way in.

[Mouri sounds very confident about this. Seems like he is deadset on believing the elevator is truly the solution to the problem and that sooner or later they will catch the Kingmaker.

This is truly a man who sticks onto his theories until it's undeniably clear he is wrong]

bloodisthicker: but i'm still not reopening your arena (that's rough buddy)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-04 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
...you do know that someone with the resources and the sort of sick mind to pull this off would probably be using secret passages rather than the elevator, right?
sleepingkogoro: (no way im wrong)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-04 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
...secret passages?

[Mouri's dumbfounded expression shows the idea never crossed his mind]
bloodisthicker: i am going to arrest your friends k (ahahahahahahahaha)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-06 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm guessing you haven't dealt with many trafficking cases, have you.

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-06 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Uh, not really. I have dealt with criminal cases mostly, although once when I was in the police force I worked in the arson division too.

Trafficking is something I have never dealt with.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-08 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
I guess wherever you're from must be a little less intense on the illegal substances front, then. You wouldn't believe where the various criminal rings keep stashing quench...
sleepingkogoro: (this cant be right)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-08 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Huh?

[Japan is not known for being a safe haven from illegal substances, but it can't be said Mouri has thought about it.

Still, the way Tarrlok says that sounds like it would be really unbelievable...whatever quench is, either way]

Tell me more about that.

[At least that should help to pass the time]
bloodisthicker: oh no, it's hot (guys... fucking...)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-11 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, right, you probably wouldn't know what it is. Apparently there's a cactus that grows in the Si Wong desert that... well, people have been known to cut it open in the hopes of getting something to drink, but the juice contains some really powerful hallucinogens.

...so naturally, when Republic City was getting off the ground, it wound up a popular import. Since it was dangerous to have people wandering around thinking that an ostrich-horse drawn wagon was a gigantic friendly bunny who wanted to be their friend, it was quickly made illegal... but that's not really going to stop people, especially with all the organized crime that Republic City was already attracting.
