WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you.

Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

There are also two new posts for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
psychoh: (I can overcome)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
[he laughs a bit at that-- an odd little giggle-- and shakes his head.]

Oh, no, I-I've never been cut out for the A-Army or anything like that. Just, you know... The little wars of, of daily life. Against the things you can't really fight.
captainobnoxious: (19 yeah that's broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Then you can't compare the two.

[Simple as that.]

The battles you fight in life are for yourself, whereas the war you have elsewhere is for everyone. And the first is definitely more winnable than the latter.

[Ehhhh that said, she's just gonna munch on some more of her chips, talking with her mouth still fullish.]

Anyway, I'm just gonna say that if you feel like you're in a constant battle of things you can't really fight, then you're not living. You're running away.
psychoh: (to come and find them)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I wish.

[a pause. now is the perfect time to stuff that chip in that big dumb mouth of his, so he does so.]

This is, uh... probably the longest time I've ever been away from home. And easily the most people I've ever spoken to all at once. Maybe even in my whole life.

[another pause.] S-So, I really do apologize, if I spoke as if... Well. I didn't mean to imply anything.
captainobnoxious: (12 matter o' fact kids)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Don't worry about it, skitters, I'm sure there's only a handful of people who get what I'm saying.

[If that.]

If you want a better analogy, then you should say life's more like a sweet horse. You'll beat it and beat it but you'll never know when the sweet things come out. Until then it's just hard bludgeoning work.
psychoh: (but I ain't dumb)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[being from, apparently, a long, long time ago, Norman has been getting used to not understanding people's references. for the most part, he's let them go by without explanation.

not this time.]

... A sweet horse? [you beat a horse to death....]
captainobnoxious: (02 i'm the best ofc)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
An animal kids stuff with candies and other sweet things. When it's good and full, they beat the horse with a stick until the goodies spill out.

[hell yeah]
psychoh: (who made me so bad)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I've never, uh, even heard of such a thing. [says the shut-in] It's not, uh... it's not a real horse, is it?
captainobnoxious: (07 i am surrounded by tiny tots)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh you sweet summer child.]

Of course it is! Why wouldn't it be!
psychoh: (mama the weeping)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
[if he knew what a pinata really was and was also a normal person, this would probably freak him out more. since neither is true, he's just one small step from accepting this entirely.]

W-Well, as long as it's already dead before...? [even he makes sure shit's dead before he gets out his taxidermy tools...]
captainobnoxious: (08 you sure you're not 16)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Good boy. Believe the woman who literally does not know better when it comes to "ancient stuff".]

I figure an alive one would make a huge fuss, so yeah. A dead one.
psychoh: (being clever)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
That's not too gruesome, then... [says the expert]

What I don't get... It's hard enough preserving something small; for something as big as a horse, just to destroy it... S-Seems like a lot of effort, to me.
captainobnoxious: (03 can't be that hard)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I guess they must've just had a surplus of horses or something. Otherwise, I have no idea why they'd waste so much good meat.
psychoh: (demons'll charm you)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
That'd, uh, definitely be your concern, wouldn't it...

What an interesting place you must come from. World, I guess. I'm sure mine isn't even, even half as exciting.
captainobnoxious: (19 yeah that's broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well, my world's pretty much dead besides like, five nations, but sure, it's interesting.

[Boring would be nice in her world, probably.]
psychoh: (who's crazy?)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
[shrugs] I've never even been outside my state, so five sounds, um, like a pretty good number to me. Not too many.
captainobnoxious: (02 i'm the best ofc)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
It just means there's a whole lot of land that's waiting to be explored and taken back from the Illness, which means I've got enough work to last me for the next hundreds of years.
psychoh: (not to worry Mum)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-03 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
[the Illness sounds like a Thing that he should probably ask about.]

You're not, uh, another sort of thing that lives for a really, really long time, are you? [clearly this is more pressing.]
captainobnoxious: (34 it's alright if you don't understand)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-03 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. But it doesn't mean I won't try for one hundred.

[Sigrun is going to live a While.]
psychoh: (mama the angels)

[personal profile] psychoh 2016-03-06 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. [that's a v long time...] Why?
captainobnoxious: (43 yeah sure)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-06 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Because no one's done it in a long time and I want to be the first in the new world! Uncle Trond's really old already though, but he's not fighting in the field like I am. So it'll be a win if I do.
