WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

Oh, a ghost story might be kind of interesting. What's it about?

A boy who moves halfway across the country into an old house. His mother doesn't quite believe him, but he's convinced there's something going on. [ She runs her fingers along the letters on the cover. ] That's as far as I've gotten, though.

[blastiarm]

And since it's a ghost story, he's obviously right and there are probably a bunch of spooky happenings before the good stuff starts.

[He laughs a bit and folds his arms behind his head.]

Let me know the short version when you're done reading it, alright?

Exactly.

[ To be honest, when he puts it like that, it makes her realize ghost stories are pretty darn predictable. ]

I could even take notes for you, if you'd like.

What is it with all you people and taking notes?

[It's teasing though and after a moment he nods.]

Yeah, I'd like that. Definitely make note of the creepiest parts!

[He's not really fond of reading, but he's going to try to sit down for the time being, so he might as well make use of the library. This just makes it less annoying!!]

[ She's going to tease him a little now, too. ]

You're right. It must have been someone who looked exactly like you throwing books in the library earlier in the week.

I haven't seen him around for quite some time, actually. He must be hiding somewhere, then.

Oh definitely. Be careful, he's totally the crazy one.

Was he the one zipping around the hallways with those roller slippers last night, then?

Nope, that was me. Don't tell me you'd call something that fun crazy?

I'm not sure I'm the best judge of that, since I've never tried it myself.

You should! If you get those slippers out of the machine, you'll have to race me!

Now I almost hope I do get a pair of them. That vending machine is odd, though. I had no idea those things could even fit in there.

Yeah, I have no idea. It just sort of drops all sorts of weird stuff. There's probably other bizarre things in there.

It's something to look forward to. We may even find items from home, if we're lucky--if the Kingmaker is that obliging, that is.

I'm hoping for some of my stuff. That'd be nice.

[and by "stuff" he means "his knives" because zagi doesn't have very many possessions, but that's not the point]
