WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

Hmmm. Maybe it's better to say I like the thrill of fighting, the possible-dying-but-knowing-I'll-come-out-on-top feeling.

[It's a glorious rush, and Sigrun grins widely.]

The monsters where I'm from can overtake a squadron within seconds if they're not on high alert.

Monsters?

[...well, actually that almost makes sense now, you'd probably need to be able to fight if you had something like that where you live]

What kind of monsters do you have living there?

Gross ones, mostly. There's three classifications of them, but the most common are trolls, which used to be humans before they succumbed to the Illness. Just about the same size as their host but way more disgusting and dangerous.

[... She's not sure she wants to frighten the teacher with descriptions of them.]

They're all really dangerous, especially the least common giant -- which is a bunch of trolls put together, basically -- and it's my job to get rid of them.

... That sounds like quite a dangerous job to have.

How do you fight back against them?

[captainobnoxious]

Like you do anything else. Gunshots draw the attention of everything around, so we mostly do it with daggers.

[Up close and personal.]

... I suppose we should consider ourselves lucky then, that we have someone as experienced when you are when it comes to fighting here.

[Or at least as far as "if something tried to mess with Sigrun, she'd be able to handle it" goes rather than being on the potential receiving end of fighting with Sigrun, she means]

You absolutely should! I've been at it for almost two decades now, there's no one more experienced than me.

[Except maybe the two who are 1000+.]

Well, that's good to hear.

[She looks over her crossword for a moment before looking to Sigrun's arts and crafts here.]

Once I finish filling this in... rather than having you do it for me, would you mind showing me how to make one of those paper stars?

is not something she expected to teach ever, actually. Well, that's not true, it's tradition they teach the generation after them simple things like this too, but Sigrun still seems surprised enough to take a moment before nodding.]

I don't mind. It's pretty simple, after all, even if we're gonna have to cut up your paper there.

That's fine with me--at least it's being used to make something nice, right?

[She'll apologize to Misa-san later, if need be.]

[The little teacher is so precious. School learning means nothing to Sigrun, but she is so precious.]

It's funner to do, anyway, not sure how nice it is to the girl who made the crossword in the first place. Come back around once you've got it all completed, alright?

...It might be a while before she comes back though because she's trying to get the answers without having to look at the profiles here. ^^;;]
