WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

Then they get stronger by fighting--much like those in my world. I do have a question. What if a Pokemon or owner does not want to battle? Are there other options?

Hmm. This is difficult for me to answer, as I have never used any other method personally. However, some Pokemon can evolve simply with items, or through a strong bond of friendship with their trainer. I suppose they could take that route? Of course, the Pokemon would have to be capable of evolution that way.

[He's mostly just thinking "??? But battling is so much easier" though...]

That said, while I am unsure if it gives the Pokemon any strength-related experience, many Pokemon owners who do not wish to battle choose to participate in contests or other creative outlets instead.

A strong bond of friendship with their trainer... It may seem silly, but I think I'd like that method the best. [ ?? ] Creative outlets? Performing, for example?

But he does smile a bit at Aqua's evolution method of choice. That does sound like something she might choose, considering her likes on her profile.]

There are only a small amount of Pokemon that can evolve that way, so you would unfortunately be limiting yourself. However...I can think of one such Pokemon that may be fitting for you. Just a hunch, really.

[He whips up a sketch as he continues to answer Aqua's question.]

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. Unova has several venues for performing with Pokemon such as the Musicals in Nimbasa City and PokeStar Studios near Virbank City.

Then even Pokemon can become stars... amazing.

That is Azurill, the Polka Dot Pokemon. It is a small Water-type mouse that later evolves into Marill. I cannot deny that it is rather cute, especially when it bounces on its tail.

[Then, a nod.]

That's right. There are several well-known human and Pokemon actors. At least, from what I have heard. I am not much of a show-goer, unfortunately.

[But is that surprising to anyone?]

I can understand why, with so much fascinating research to be done.

Not all the time, no. They can be rather sensitive little things, though, and are prone to crying.

[He'll quickly draw a happier one for Aqua!]

I wouldn't be surprised if the two of you got along quickly enough to prevent any of that.
