WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you.

Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

There are also two new posts for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
blastiarm: (WOW ❖ never mind i take it back)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Uh. Well, yeah. I'm a fighter and this thing's built pretty heavily. The extension here-- [he touches the larger part over the forearm that comes up past his elbow] looks like it'd be useful as a shield. Plus, the only way this thing would be functional at all is with a blastia. If it's already got a blastia in it, it'd be pointless to leave it just as an arm and not weaponize it.

...But to be honest, that's mostly just a guess. I don't recognize it, so I don't really know what's going on with it.
pokexplorer: (❖ gloves)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-01 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
I see. So this 'blastia' is the centerpiece to maximize the potential of your new mechanical arm.

[Is this like, a different technology to energize humans?

...

Neat.]

Could you at least see yourself making good use of it? Considering the likelihood that you may not get your original arm back.
blastiarm: (OKAY ❖ but i don't care)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really have a choice. Either I learn how to use it or I give up fighting and that's not happening.

...Given the weight, it'll take awhile to get used to. I feel a little slower and I'm definitely heavier with this thing, so some of my moves won't be quite as effective, buuuut I can definitely make use of it, especially if it's weaponized in some way. The strengths could outweigh the problems it'll cause, but I can't tell that until the blastia's working again.

[He's stupid as hell but he's put a lot of thought into how this will impact his usual fighting style.]
pokexplorer: (❖ this is lore)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-02 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Colress nods along to show he's following. When Zagi's done, he can't help but smile.]

I see why you've been given the title of Adaptable! That is a fine quality to have. I look forward to seeing your progress, should you practice with it here.

Is the blastia truly not working, though?

[He's only learning the concept of the thing, so he can't really say if he could help with it...]

blastiarm: (OKAY ❖ but i don't care)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-02 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'll be practicing. I can't let my skills get rusty.

[IT'S A JOKE, HE'S PERFECT]

It's not. If it was, I'd have access to my artes. I can't use any of them though.
pokexplorer: (❖ jokingly)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-02 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
No, you certainly can't. In that case, I suggest also avoiding getting water into that arm of yours.

[PLAYING IT STRAIGHT HERE.]

Artes? Are these...an ability of yours?

[Oh boy, looks like he's stumbled across something juicy!]
blastiarm: (SMUG ❖ man you all suck)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-02 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, noted.

[As for artes...]

They're my moves. Attacks. Some people use magic artes, but I focus on strike artes. Physical abilities. They're stronger attacks, basically.

[And sometimes they let you do incredible things like SHOOT YOURSELF UPWARDS INTO THE AIR FROM STANDING STILL don't ask questions.]
pokexplorer: (❖ sparkle)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-03 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
[See that look on Colress' face? It's him getting excited over Zagi casually saying that people in his world can use magic and cool stuff like that.]

That sounds magnificent! If I were to compare your strike arts to a Pokemon type, I would consider them to be Fighting type!

Obviously you are not a Pokemon, which makes it all the more fascinating. In my world, humans do not typically possess abilities like that.
blastiarm: (STARE ❖ orrrr maybe you can)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-03 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
[lbr some of his are dark-type and he gets a few poison-type ones later!!]

Uh, okay? What's a Pokemon?

[?????]
pokexplorer: (❖ considering)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-03 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Zagi is ttly a Dark-type in general.]

Ah, my apologies. I am still growing accustomed to many people here not being aware of Pokemon.

[IT HURTS EVERY TIME HE IS ASKED.]

They are creatures with abilities similar to your 'artes'. They possess more strength than humans and are capable of what could be considered magic or fantastical things of the sort.
blastiarm: (UNSURE ❖ why does the dog have my moves)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-03 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[... :|a ]

So are they monsters? Because they sound like monsters.
pokexplorer: (❖ gloves)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-03 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose you could call them monsters as well, yes.

Are you saying that you have something similar?

[...This is promising.]
blastiarm: (BORED ❖ when can i fight someone)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-03 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but they're our enemies. Monsters are really powerful and they can kill people easily. We've got barrier blastia to keep them out of major cities, but if you face off against one without a blastia, you're gonna die.

Some of them can use magic artes and others use strike artes, plus most of them have some kind of elemental strength or weakness to exploit or watch out for. I don't find them threatening, but most people do.

[...too bad he doesn't remember the dog in yuri's party yet, that would make this even dumber]
pokexplorer: (❖ magneton)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-04 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh wow, this really is something!]

Special abilities and elemental attributes! That sounds extremely similar to Pokemon!

The only difference is, Pokemon do not typically kill people. In fact, Pokemon have been working together with humans for a very long time. It is very common for humans to own Pokemon and have them battle with other Pokemon.
blastiarm: (WOW ❖ never mind i take it back)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-04 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Huh, that's so weird. I don't think it's possible to get monsters to work with people. I've never tried, but they don't seem... intelligent.

[Monsters are kind of weird.]
pokexplorer: (❖ doin science)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-04 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
It might be worth trying, should you ever return home.

[That is, if 'home' still exists and the Kingmaker is lying out his ass.]

They may be more intelligent than they seem! If they have abilities like Pokemon, they must be.
blastiarm: (UGH ❖ yuri's not in the party??)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-04 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, I'm not sure about that...

[But talking to the monsters will give them an opening, so maybe then they might stand a bit more of a chance!!!

...hahaha yeah right.]
pokexplorer: (❖ jokingly)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-05 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like far too much hesitation for someone so adaptable as yourself.

[Okay now he's just messing around.]

No matter. Should I find my Pokemon again, you'll at least be able to see what working together with creatures can be like.
